Verizon Employees, please!

I am wondering what Verizon direct employees make hourly. Does it vary with experience? Whats the commission rate? I have worked for AT&T for 3 years now, manager for 1 1/2... would someone venture a guess on what I might be offered? If someone could respond quickly, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

It depends on your area. In my part of the country, starting salary is just under $12/hr., 3% raise/year, profit matching 401k up to 6%, + up to $700 or so if you opt out of medical/dental insurance.

Care reps get a yearly bonus of a couple thousand, Sales reps' buckets vary widely based on the total quota required, but target commission is just under $1,200/month for full time.

All this considered together makes target yearly compensation for a new sales rep around $39,800.

That's great! Can you give me an idea of how the commission is scaled? Right now, Im at 10% flat with options to go to 15% and 20% based sales. Are the quotas hard to achieve?

It just depends on how good you are and what area you are in. I'm in Alabama and I started 3 months ago and I'm getting a $2,000 check from last month. You have to make 50% of your quota to get your comission but if you get higher than %100 you'll start hitting multipliers. The tiers just recently changed so I'm not sure what you make per tier but Verizon definitely takes care of their employees when it comes to your pay plus amazing benefits. You'll make more of a starting wage as well. I'd never had any previous sales experience and I walked in with $11 an hour so you'll obviously make more with your experience.

39,500... I made that last year part time... good pay, hard to hit numbers once you've poured in all the cash, but the benefits are good.

It really depends.
I'm in retail customer service and started at $13.25 three years ago. Now about $14.05 with the 3% raise.
Like th sales rep said with commission it depends on how you get your hustle on. I know one full time rep that's been with VZW for 5yrs. Makes $15+ hr and get's at least a 1.6 on his accelerator. Saw his W2 from last year and it was in the 60K range.

It depends on where you are. In the Greater Seattle area my job starts at 30k/year. In Tampa the same position starts at 26k. We'll take your experience into consideration during the hiring process so I'd recommend applying and seeing what happens.
