Hey I am new to Verizon and wanted to ask a question. Why can I not send and recv pictures from another BT enabled device with this phone?? Is it not supported (per everything I have read it is supported)? Are there special drivers and things needed to accomplish this? Many thanks.

You can't do that with any Verizon Wireless phone

While I know most of them are crippled (and one of the main reasons AT&T will always be my main carrier) they have certain phones that you can do certain things with. I am able to send pics from the 8350 to my XP computer via BT, but can send from pc to phone. Also couldnt transfer anything from/to none of my GSM phones. I played with the Moto W385 and was able to send pics to my N95, didnt try the reverse operation.

So yes VZW has eased up marginally in that respect. But they still have a long way to go.

Interesting! This is the first time I heard such a thing. Thanks for sharing 🙂

You are quite welcome. Thats what we here for, to learn - not hate on other carriers. There are other VZW phones that have some BT functionality as far as file sharing. This 8350 is not a bad little phone. But its no N95 thats for sure.

I have been sending and receiving pictures via bluetooth with my V3M with the current software flash 24.1_01.19.05 (released Sept 2007)
I have not hacked anything. Vibrate is selectable on/off simoultaneously with ring too.

Contact LG if you want to see if the ability to do so was included in the phone. If so they should be able to tell you the setting to change to enable it.

The base programing for the phone done by the VZW over the air system disables some device to device BT options.
As long as the manufacturer included the ability you can re-enable it.

Thanks, I know it was included in the ability to do this. I will look into contacting LG.
