i've read all the reviews and specs on it but have a few questions. does the phone work fully with the phone open? can you do anything on the browser with it open? also, anyone have any experience with running opera mini on it? thank you in advance!

phone is in speakerphone mode when open and you can switch back and forth while on a call. you need it open to use mobile web/vcast and mobile web is reformatted for the wider screen.

To use VCast... do you mean that keeping it open will not allow you to access VCast in order to download, or to access what you have on your phone? I mean, can I listen to music with the phone closed?

You can listen to music with it closed.

To do any VCast related stuff have it open.

Most of the functions on the EnV can only be accessed with the phone open, you have very little you can do on the external display. The key things you can do though, like text, make calls and play music.

Gmail will work just I didn't like the lag times it was every half hour it would check but it didn't seem to work very well. Also I could not keep a hard copy on my computer
