Sprint Nextel’s Q3 profits plummet, down 77% !!!!!!!!!!

This isn’t totally unexpected, no? Sprint Nextel’s earning came out, and they reported a 77% drop in profit, while also cutting forecasts for next year. They’ve lost the most subscribers this quarter since 2005, maybe longer. Their third-quarter net income turned out to be only $64M! How many customers did they lose exactly? 337,000, and that is "the most since it bought Nextel Communications Inc., amid complaints about dropped calls and poor reception." We guess they couldn’t get Gary out soon enough…

Thanks, to everyone that sent this in!

Are you serious? I am glad that you are loyal to VZW but why constantly bash Sprint? There may come a time when VZW may not be doing so well. Karma is a beeotch! 😉

I am just posting news! It's not my fault sprint treats their customers like toilet bugs, built a shoddy network, and can't tell the difference between their a&& and a hole in the ground.

Cellenator is being a jerk about it, but let's face it, a company wouldn't be having the problems that Sprint is currently having unless something really was wrong.

Churn is way up, profits are way down, and they're actually going backwards in terms of how many postpaid customers they have. Their problems are very real, sadly. 😕

Yeah, good summation of the catastrophe that was Sprint's Q3 is here:

I think the most worrisome thing is that their postpaid churn jumped up from 2.0% in Q2 to 2.3% in Q3. And it'll likely go higher still. ☹️

I guess the VZW and ATT reps can lick their chops at the thought of all the port-overs they're gonna keep on getting...
