Im thinking about getting rid of my blackberry since I do not use the email function much, i use less than 450min/mo. and the only time i use the internet is when I am taking a dump, I am grossly overpaying on my monthly phone bill with BB plan. this is mainly why I am thinking of dumping my BB in lieu of these 2 phones. What are your thoughts on this?

there is a new plan that verizon offers for blackberrys that is unlimited data for only $30 a month versus the $44.99, as long as you are not using it for corporate e-mail. There is also a 10MB plan that is available for $24.99 a month. The Voyager and the new Samsung are both good phones. So it would be more of a personal decision. As far as I know the Voyager has yet to be released so you would have to wait a few weeks probably if you decided to go with that phone.

SJH6304, Thank you for letting me know. I will look into that plan. So if i call and switch my BB plan to $30 one vs. $44.99 one, are they going to make me renew my 2 year contract again? I know Vzw used to make me renew my 2 year contract if i ever swithched anything on my plans...once again, thanks for the tip and your input!

Well, your bill won't get any smaller with the Samsung i760. If money is the issue, go with the Voyager.

Yeah, I was leaning toward the Voyager to begin with but I am not going to pre-order. I am going to wait to see and feel to make sure that I really really like it.

Also, if I decide to sell my BB8830 on ebay, how much do you think i can get for it? its only about 6 mos and in excellent shape!

I don't know. Let me know how much you get because I'm thinking about selling mine on eBay. I've only had it for about 2 months though.

I agree, you will not save much on the i760. I have the phone, it is a great device for the most part but it does have it's little idiosyncrasies. I also do not use the email function, but I do like the PDA features. The good news is that the 760 has WiFi so if you are near a HotSpot and/or need the PDA functions then I would go with the 760. Otherwise price wise it looks like going with the Voyager will save you $$$ in the long run.

i checked out the samsung at the store today and i can see the "idiosyncrasies". It would probably drive me nuts with that phone. I will probably wait for the Voyager.

I switched my BBplan to $30 plan vs. $44 plan as well so that should save me some money.
