Question about Voyager/Venus
Does anybody know if they use the same heat-sensitive touchscreen technology as the Chocolate? I'm not sure that I trust that technology. I live in a super cold area, and there were people that were unable to use their chocolates because of the weather. Also, the touch pads on the Chocolates went bad quite a few times. Add in the white screens...I'm just wary of the Voyager and Venus. Anyone know anything about the touch technology they're going to use and how it works?
...
I have wondered that same thing. Also, because they talke about the "vibe" touch sensitivity. I had the new chocolate for a while, and just didn't see the benefit in that feature.
To me, the Venus looks like a glorified chocolate.
However, the Voyager intrigues me.
Are these different enough from the chocolates to actually be true "touch screen" phones?
...
no the sensitivity isnt that bad....its deffinetly better then the chocolate (8500)
...
the touchscreen on the voyager is 15x more responsive then on the chocolate (vx8500)
I did a text message on the front using T9 and I txt very fast, i typed a full sentence very fast on the front with no errors and the vibration feedback is minor but a very nice touch.
Im not positive on if its heat activated but from what I have seen I dont think cold weather would cause any issues.
try it and if it doesnt work just return it within the 30 days.
...
I don't want one. I just don't want a lot of returns.
...
I dont think it will be an issue

The voyager is using a pressure based touch screen, I would hope the Venus does too.
