Standard & NE2 upgrades are every 20 months. Your $9.99 lines are going to get just that. The primary line can get an annual upgrade after 12 months but will forfeit the NE2 credit. If you want the best deal, wait the full 20 months.

These upgrades are nothing but marketing gimmick. Same phones for example:LG 8350
sells at Verizon or on-line after rebate
for $79.00, when Price Club, Walmart, Best Buy,
and other independent dealers will give this phone for free on 2 year contract. And there many other phones free, or much cheaper than Verizon corporate and on-line stores.Soo if I want the LG 8350 from Verizon under my plan i would have to pay $19.00, and my second phone
would be $79.00, when and Walmat I got these
same phones for both of ud for free.

The free phones Verizon corporate offers, are
either old models, or cheap and badly rated phones which they trying to get rid off. Also Best Buy offers much better insurance without the deductible for same money that Verizon offers. Still they are the best network.
So if anybody thinks that they getting great deals on the every 2, they just fooling themselfs.

People get screwed all the time buy Best Buy and Wal-Mart. The employees don't usually know much if anything about what they are selling. They are there to sell all kinds of products, not just cell phones like us. I've seen accounts pretty badly messed up after a trip to Wal-Mart.

Verizon also won't honor the warranty on phones purchased from those locations because they don't buy their equipment from Verizon. Good luck with a warranty issue. Wal-Mart or Best Buy aren't going to help you, and neither is Verizon. Have an issue with your service or phone, sorry, again they can't help you. Now you're going to go to a Verizon store that is probably going to charge you for their services because you didn't come to them in the first plac...

I agree with you on that one, that these employees have no idea what they are doing, but here in New York the employees at Verizon
stores are almost as bad. I just returned both phones to Walmart, since one of them had a bad battery and they did not have anymore in stock.
I cancelled the contract, and will order my phones on Verizon website, so I do not have to wait for the rebate. I still think that NW 2 is
just marketing gimmick. As a network Verizon is the best.

I bought my phones from wal-mart. It 90 dollars plus 50 MIR at the store or 20.00 at walmart no rebate. The local corp verizon store in our area works on any verizon phone no matter where purchased.

I thought so too. Years ago I use to buy my phones at Radio Shack, they were always cheaper than Verizon Corp. stores, and they took care of my phones. Did anything changed since than? I am thinking about buying now
at Best Buy, since their prices are so much better.
