CALL DETAIL AND TEXT AVAILABILITY???????
This is really not a bitch just wondering out loud. Why does VZW not have the call detail and text detail available on an up to date usage for the current month. I know you can view the minutes used and texts sent/received but you cannot view the numbers called/received or texts. If they can provide the somewhat accurate usage online why not the details??? anything in the works for that? Sometimes I need to check my kids calling and texting data before the billing cycle ends.
...
Why would that be? If you can know, by MyAccount, exactly how many billable minutes they've used and exactly how many billable text messages they've sent and received, why would you need to know on the same billing cycle where they were sent?
If you really, really want to know, you can go into a store or call customer service and have us look at Call Detail and Message Detail in our systems, which will let us see when it was sent, and to whom.

new FCC laws do not allow us to give out call details over the phone, we can only confirm call details that you inform us of.
for example:
-"who did i call on august 30th?"
cant tell you
-"the number xxx-xxx-xxxx is showing as peak usage, but they are on verizon."
we can talk about it cus you give us the details from your bill.
its a security issue
fyi:
we dont have the numbers for UNBILLED info because its just an estimate. meaning sometimes not all of the calls you made are showing up, just whats reported...same for #min, etc. we can only show whats reported, so since we cant force extended ntwk users to report the info quicker, its an estimate.

I understand it is an estimate. I am sometimes looking to see who my teenager is calling or texting. There is a number in particular I am concerned with. So what you are saying is that if I call CS and ask about that specific number they can tell me the info? Thank you.
...
the exact opposite. we can not tell you any call details, billed or unbilled. (printed on a bill or in the current active bill cycle). its against federal law to discuss call records over the phone. we can confirm and deny facts that you give us, but we can not provide those facts without you first supplying the call detail info. so basically, you can only get what is available in the details on your bill or through my account. or, hire a lawyer and subpoena the unbilled usage, but it would prolly be quicker to just wait for the bill to print.
sorry

No reason for you to be sorry. I was just being a concerned mom and proactive....I guess I will just have to wait for the bill to come out. Thanks!!
