I agree the voyager is a cheap knock of the iphone. It does not have true html browsing. for a mp3 player ? how can a phone compete with a IPod. the touch screen on the Iphone is not as bad as people hyped up to be. Can anyone list some pro's and cons of each ?

Do a forum search for LG Voyager and you can find plenty of post comparing the two phones.

The both have their pros and cons. And how can you argue that the voygager doesnt have true HTML? Have you seen the screen shoots of various webpages? Cuz I have, and they look pretty good.

Voyager has: 3G internet, expandable memory, removable battery, built in GPS capabilities, 2 keyboards (touchscreen and real qwerty), it has 2 great screens, stereo speakers, MMS messaging (no go on the iphone), and a lower price point. And you can insure the damn thing--cant do that with att.

The iphone is a cool phone, but there is room for improvement. And I think the voyager is overall better solution for a lot of people.

yes it can zoom in and out using the browser...and you can move the page around as well with your finger...i've seen it in action. and the camera is nice, feels and looks like a real digital camera.

who cares if I can flip through pictures if the phone sounds muffled and its a bitch to text on the damn thing. The iphone does have some great software, but there is more to a phone than just software. The hard has to work great as well. I think the LG hardware has a chance to surpass the iphone in overall functionality.

The iphone will still win on the software side of things. that UI is pretty slick.

Hm, I feel the exact opposite. I think the hardware on the iPhone is stunning. In my opinion, Windows Mobile on an iPhone would be really great. But it would need a slideout QWERTY.

Does the iPhone have Speech 2 Text??? chalk another one up for the good guys.

GIN applications, VCAST video and TV capable makes it easy to download videos on the go. No preloaded Youtube videos when you can just go on vcast and get em.

I'm not leaving it at that....I'm taking it 1 step further....

You can't compare a Rolls Royce to a BMW either....and the Voyager is a Rolls.... 😈

Sorry, Chris, I spot an error in your post. You can insure the iPhone with an Apple Care Plan.

Is it a competitor to the iPhone? Absolutely. Is it a knock off of the iPhone? Not really. Touch screen phones are going to be the next big thing. Saying the Voyager is a knock off of the iPhone is like saying any slim phone is a knock off of the RAZR. Manufacturers are just going to make what's popular.

Besides...using your logic, you could say that the iPhone is a knock off of the LG KE850. So really, the Voyager is just a knock off of one of LG's own products. Idiot.

I love how iPhone fanboys always talk about how Apple was the first with a touch screen, pretty sure LG had that first (albeit the 8500 was a POS)

First off, contrary to what you say, the Voyager does have true HTML browsing.

Secondly, while I like the iPhone, it is not without some major weaknesses. Mainly:

- no 3G... rather, its got slow-ass EDGE 😢
- no MMS. WTF? What year is this?
- no voice-calling. Huh?
- extremely limited bluetooth, last I checked. And ATT folks like to complain about how VZW cripples its bluetooth? Whoa.
- no GPS
- many ppl complain...
