• Never get a 2-year contract. "The only benefit to a 2 yr contract is a $50 savings on your phone. Its not worth it. Take the $50 and get a 1 year then you can upgrade to a new phone every 10 months."

• Verizon reps get tons of money from new lines and certain accessories and text packages, take advantage of this. They won't let a new customer walk out the door. "Play hardball, they will do anything to get the new lines. VZW makes $ off the service, not the phones. Tell them you don't want to mail in the rebate. There does come a point of diminishing returns. For example, if you walked in and wanted a $39 plan and a free Treo 700, not gonna happen. But I have given away almost every non-PDA phone in the store for the right de...

-(If you are on a plan of 79.99 or higher it is $100.00 off on a two year so this statement is wrong.)

The ne2 credit is 2 prices. $34.99-79.99 gat $50 off 2 yr price for upgrade. $79.99+ get $100 off 2 yr price. And you have to be on the plan for 20 months to qualify. So you can't go from secondary to primary and upgrade 2 months later and get ne2 credit. You can still upgrade at 2yr price though.

It is true store rep get commision but don't buy something you don't want. Just speak up and say no.

25% off lost stolen no longer exists. Now if your phone is lost/stolen/physical damage and you don't have ins or eligible for upgrade you can purchase new phone at 1 yr price. That does effect your upgrade date...you wont be eligible for another 20 months. Depending on current crontract it may extend too.

primary/single lines on a plan o...

These are a few years old, and they've been posted here several times. This guy had his opinion, but I didn't agree with the majority of it. Some of it is stupid, and some of it is blatantly false. Some of it depends on the store you're in. Take this stuff with a grain of salt because chances are it won't help you at all.

While the post is old news, I have a couple of thoughts from the post above.

1. Buy accessories to return them the next day....Do I have so little to do with my life that I want to take the time to do such silliness? Even so, I always will need a vehicle charger and a BT headset...heck, might as well throw in that case too for the same cost. So, I guess what's the use of a time waste like buying to return something is.

2. Insurance - I've was 2 high end phones (because I am retarded) and replacing them would have been very expensive. I did not want a different phone, the phone(s) I washed were phones that I liked, wanted and used. If you jump to different phones frequently, insurance is not the way but, if you're a dough-...

Trust me here, these are 2 of the biggest metrics for the reps. Return the accessories the next day and call c
