? about upgrading/ne2

So I am eligible for upgrade in a month. Since I am on a secondary line on our family plan, I do not receive the NE2 $100 credit. Is it possible to switch my line to the primary line and receive that $100 credit? The current primary line isn't due for upgrade until July '08.

For some reason, I was under the impression that I could do that and use up the NE2 credit for our entire account.

Any help is much appreciated.

no that wont work, infact that will mess up your NE2 date on the prim line, it would reset it for another 20 months.

to get your NE2 credit you have to be on a plan of 34.99+ for at least 20 months and you must not have upgraded your phone at discounted pricing for at least 20 months.

If you switch the primary it will set your line as being NE2 elig 20 months from today, and your former primary lines date will be removed.

what phone did you want to get?

Not what I was hoping to hear, but at least I got a confirming answer.

I was looking at getting the Samsung i760. I'd wait till june to use the primary line's upgrade, but my Treo recently crapped out and I'm using my old beat up LG.

Thank you for your help though.

I thought with the tiered NE2 you just had to be on a qualifing plan for the last three months and 20 months from your last upgrade.

They will be changing the way you can use your NE2. There is going to be a way that any line can use the NE2. You can only use it once every 20 months per account. But secondary lines can use it if they want.
