First, I'm sorry if you haven't heard of Business Travel. Try to find out about them with the help of GOOGLE. There's reading material that doesn't always evolve around the wireless industry; much less verizon.

Second, to say that Vz mopped AT&T is ridiculously funny. Did you even read their quarter results? Both companies posted very similar total revenues. Here, let me help you.

AT&T = $10.9 billion
Vz = $11.3 billion

I could go on about net adds and all, but I refuse to drop to your level. It's obvious you love your Vz service, but do not underestimate AT&T, because you come across (to me) as an immature fanboy.

However, they continue to have one of the highest churn levels in the industry. This is something I have never been able to understand, because as a former Tmobile user I had a great experience on their network in FL.

Revenue is only one aspect of performance. There's also customer churn, ARPU (avg revenue per user), data ARPU, profits, capex, etc.

Oh, and that survey that was put together by 'some mag' was a compilation of over 47,000 user responses... statistically, MORE than good enough to get an accurate snapshot of how the carriers were doing. So why would you put Consumer Reports down? Only because ATT didn't do well in the survey?

Maybe ATT flunkies should stop complaining about Consumer Reports, and instead focus on improving ATT's service? Fix the cause and stop comp...

well i ported to verizon. i will go back to at&t but, the house i moved to, at&t doesn't service. verizon doesn't either but they have a roaming agreement with cellular south. like i said in another post, i can't be a verizon fan boy, just a customer. all things equal i prefer at&t's flexibility. vzw will have me for a year but as soon as i can i will go back... and don't think i am trying to start a flame war, just stating that there is always another side to e...

Marketing might send you some new offers in the mail, but those arent begging either, they are calculated risks made by people in the finance department that just crunch numbers and have probably never spoke to a customer.

Those offers are designed for customers that are leaving because of something small where they might not know VZW policies and for customers leaving on a whim just to try another carrier as it is a waste of money to have customers leave and then come back.

One of the few smart things Sprint has done in a while, but still got major criticism for doing it, is booting all the whiners so they could better concentrate on the ones who do have constructive things to say. I don't blame them, or any other carrier, for doing that.
