Blackberry Plan ??'s

I recently got the Pearl so I am new to Blackberry. Are there new BB plans for non-business users? I thought it was $29.99. When I went to pay my bill on line today and there was a $44.99 charge on my account. I called 611 and was told that the only two BB plans are the unlimited for $44.99 and $24.99 for 10 MB. So what is the deal? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the response. Then why in the H did the customer service rep @ 611 tell me that it did not exist?

just call back and get a different rep

Unfortunately,that's the kind of things that happen when reps don't bother to check their reference material.

The worst part is that she put me on hold and said she checked into it and that she could not find the 29.99 plan. So a couple days later I looked at the VZW website and it is obviously there. In the past I had not any problems when I called 611 and found them to be very knowledgeable. In general they have always taken care of my problem and are always very courteous. This was just so blatant.

Chances are you got one of the outsourced call centers. When all the regular VZW owned an operated call centers are busy your call would be answered by a less knowledgeable call center. One of the outsourced call centers in the West area is called Live Bridge. It actually shows in the notes of your account when they enter comments that they are 'livebridge' and not VZW. They are less knowledgeable and not as well educated on VZW products and services. But thankfully they are in the US.

No surprise there. Half the reps don't know what day it is. There is a non business plan or I should say a BIS plan that is 29.99 for unlimited and there is a 10 meg plan for 24.99 call back and complain 😲

Thanks for the info. I thought that I was correct.
She said she double checked the plans and could only come with the two. She eventually gave it to me for 29.99 but said if I made any changes to my account that it would jeopardize that price. Sometimes I just do not get it. I am very intolerant of incompetence. Well have a good night.

Asbsaf---inglutely not true and she just made that up. I had a price change within 12 days once on an 8700 I bought and the rep told me I was not entitled to the adjustment.
Well, what happened to the 30 day "worry free guarantee" I asked?
I told her how about if I make you refund the phone and I re-buy it at the lower price?

yep. when i activated my premier plan two reps told me the wireless sync email came with the plan... it doesn't
