A person that will remain nameless but has ties to VZW corp and LG said that VZW will have a huge stock of VX 10000's in stock for internet and not in the store. They want the internet to gain more fame and drive less traffic into the stores. They plan on keeping it this way until mid Febuary after V-DAY.....now if its true is yet to be seen...............BUT he has been right so far of the things he has told me.

It's speledd Barlie, with a capital b.
...
Even though their intention may be to drive peps to their tired old-a$$ website. They don't realize that someone who wants a phone (NOW) might actually "drive" to a competitor's store đ
KEEP THEM COMING, VZ! đ¤Ŗ
additional comment: No offense, but vz's website is very lame... it desperately needs a complete make over.
...
As a former emply. it makes me upset, VZW is thing about the bottom line once again and not about there customers and Emplys.
...
As a former Cingular employee, I like to see that the company I worked for keeps getting better and better...
...
Nah. In my area, ATT still sucks nads.
...
as a VZW employee, I will go on strike and demand a better website. I too agree that our website sucks!
...
I don't agree with alot of things, how they are handled, etc but Anxiovert, the website is one area that is actually MUCH improved in the last year! If you have an acct, there isn't much you can't see or do on it now..Now for driving customers to the website to upgrade, they are actually pushing reps on the phone to take the orders now... d...go figure đ Though sure the attempt to limit store traffic cause the stores are usually extremely busy but doesn't seem fair to the reps in the store that get commission..
...
verizon's website is no better or worse than att's...I think att's is actually worse, you have to create a login just to look at phone plans!
Quit hatin and just join the big red machine already đ¤Ŗ

As a current and long time Verizon and Cingular/AT&T customer, I hate reading bullshi8 that doesn't even sound correct, with nothing to back it up, then people complaining as if they knew this to be true.
...
How doesn't it sound correct? Any company in the history of the world tries to maximize income while minimizing expenses.
And I know myself that I tried calling around to stores to see if they had the Voyager, and they were all sold out and on backorder for two weeks. I ordered on the website and had it in TWO DAYS.
...
Funny I spoke with our LG rep yesterday and that was no where close to what he said about Voyager availability. Also I thought that on line
(telesales too) was taking orders but not sending them out till the 15th when there is supposed to be more phones.
...
I must say this first, i knew my LG rep for about 3 1/2 years now and him and me have a good understanding. He tells me things that are the full truth and not what is stated by LG or VZW.
I knew this was going to come up, upon talking to him he is informed to say that " VZW are short on Voyager". I do work for AT&T so when i logged in myaccount to upgrade to a Voyager with my company discount it wasn't there, but it was when i wanted to add a line. I talked to customer service and telesales and they offered to overnight 2 voyagers to me on a 1yr agreement for free. I'm sorry to say this but its the way VZW AND AT&T are going. I see it in my store with the Shine and Sony Er w580i. They create a "false demand" for a phone that they have in st...

Sounds like VZW and Sprint are puppets to LG, the puppet master. LG is pulling the same stunt, with the LG LX-260 (Rumor) on Sprint.
...
As I was falling asleep last night, the thought crossed my mind that Verizon really does have a ton of these in stock, but wants to make it look like they are low. Since the iPhone sold so fast. And doesn't want to admit that they rushed it out.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Verizon fan 100%. But the Voyager makes me wonder. It's supposed to be the iPhone "killer" (although I don't agree with that), so they try to rush it out, but all of a sudden you can't get any.
Obviously, software issues are coming into play. I think Verizon realized they jumped the gun, and should have waited longer to release this phone.
...
I'm more looking forward to the Samsung u940.
...
I've actually heard that it was LG that didn't keep up on the end of the deal. Verizon told LG they would sell X amount of Voyagers by the end of the year and LG has failed to produce what was agreed to.
...
I just had meeting with area pres who explained to us that we underestimated the initial launch and have since then oversold by about 30000 and we would probably not be where we want to be inventory wise until about march. âšī¸
