mobile email?
So i have this on my voyager and I want it to notify me when i get an email but can i turn off or change that annoying ding i get when a email comes through, i went through my phone settings and there is no email alert sound and i found nothing in the options of mobile email except to turn it off(but then you get no notification at all)

Here is the problem, I use it as my alarm clock and if it rings i must answer it. So i don't want it on vibrate because if i am asleep i can't here it and logging into my email every morning and night and changing the alert is very agrevating, I want to know if i got an email, but i don't want it to ding in my ear at 3am from spam email...This is my only complaint about this phone and it is not even the phone's fault i think it is the program's issue. When you turn the alert off it will not ding, but it also will not notify you, I just want my email to come through, but not make any audio

Unfortunately, unless you change the alert at night and then again in the morning, you are out of luck.
On a better note, I got a blackberry pearl about a month ago, and with a blackberry, you can change to a profile that will do exactly what you want to do. If this is such a big issue, you may want to look into that. It really is a great phone. Also with the $30 data plan, it does not cost that much more than a regular phone with vcast, mobile email etc.
