What's up everyone. What can we expect to see in 2008 from VZW. I went to ATT b/c of "iPhone Syndrome" but ATT is still ATT when it comes to service. So, what's in the works for the New Year?

yo man are you having any problems with your 8350? I can't set wallpapers to the front screen, they always show up as black...but the bigger problem is the reception the wife is bitching that she can't make out what I am saying many times....and sometimes I have trouble hearing her too. What the hell I figured it out man, I turned off the VOICE CLARITY feature under sounds....and my phone works flawlessly now. Just got off a 30 minute call without a hiccup. I was getting pissed I knew it had to be the damn phone, since I’ve had verizon for pushing ten years with countless phones, not exactly a green horn over here.. Anyways I do not know if it's just my phone, but it certainly did not appreciate having voice clarity turned on. Is yours on or off? Thoughts

Voice clarity is OFF on mine... I think I even said in my review of the 8350 here on PhoneScoop that everyone should turn it off, 'cuz it futzes with the speakerphone. ☹️

Yup thanks bro it was the large clock font messing up my wallpaper, was not really a big deal just kinda annoyed me. I agree it should be off by default especially if it's going to put your phone into suck mode. lol I am happy now. Anyways thanks!

Just a bigger selection of good phones, like a BB Curve and if all that open access stuff means we can use Sprint phones on VZW then I'm not interested bc they basically have the same phones with minor exceptions. I saw a new samsung that looked like an iPhone with a slide out keyboard. That looked pretty promising. 🙂

cool cool not all the details are out, but it's not limited to just sprint phones. They will have a set of guidelines but at first glance seems very reasonable. We should be able to use just about any cdma phone within reason.

Don't think just CDMA. You have to think outside of the box. Not just phones have to be on the open access, hell your refrigerator may be hooked up with vzw soon if Maytag decides they want it to be. 😁
