help!!

I just got the Gleam on Dec 21st. I am sending the thing back for a number of reason but thats not what I need help with. I don't really have a phone to use while I send this on back, and verizon will not send me a new phone until they have received this one, which i understand that, BUT the guy proceeds to tell me that it can take up to 3 billing cycles to get the phone to come off my account before they can bill another one to my account. SO my question is 1, is this true? and 2, if it is true can i just go and upgrade up at the store? I did an annual upgrade FYI.

Its up to the manager in duty. They can do an upgrade for you in the store. Chance are you will still have to send back the first phone yourself. Don't be surprised if they won't do an exchange for you since they won't be getting any commission from your exchange.

If you go to corporate store they will exchange the phone for you on the spot. If you were given an instant rebate instead of a mail in rebate you may have to cover the cost of the rebate in store depending on your state's laws (ex. CT and RI are instant rebates for any advertised sale item).

It is not up to the manager to decide if they want to exchange it or not, if you purchased from verizonwireless.com and your within your worry free guarantee period, just bring back everything you got with the phone. When you go into the store, your looking for Customer Service and not sales.

Also, if you send your phone back first you will not be able to complete your annual upgrade until the warehouse shows it has been received.

I took it up to the store and exchanged it for the Treo which is awesome... I had no problems at all doing it..

FYI! Under WFG policy, you DO NOT have to wait for the warehouse to receive the phone back before a NEW order can be placed!

Also, VZW corp stores, PER POLICY have to exchange ph for you under WFG rather they want to or not...as long as you take everything with you.
