I am a car salesman at "ABC Hyundai" I went to a Verizon store to see what the price would be for the Venus. It was $150 with the new every 2. The salesman typed in "ABC" and "ABC Chrysler Jeep" and "ABC Lincoln Mercury" came up. "ABC Chrysler Jeep" get the discount only if "ABC" pays the phone bill. "ABC" Lincoln Mercury employees receive a corporate discount. I want to get the discount at my dealership (Hyundai). The idiots at Verizon told me to contact the Chrysler Jeep store and find out how their plan is set up. They don't understand "ABC" is not going to pay my bill. They are giving me the run around on getting the discount. There are at least a dozen lines with Verizon here at the dealership. My contract is up and it’s like they ...

They may not be able to help you. Sometimes accounts like that are locked to a specific representative. If you want the discount, you'll have to do the extra footwork to find out who your business representative is to get the discount. Or you could pay the $150. Calling someone an idiot because you refuse to do a little extra work is pretty childish.

I called them an idiot cause they are giving me the run around. I thought that that is their job. I am in retail and if a customer wants me to do a little something extra for them, I will. Maybe that is just me. Customer Satisfaction is tied in to my bonuses at work. If I get less the 85% I don’t get my bonuses. I've called customer service at least 6 times, sales 3 times, business sales 2 times. All I want to know is how I get the same discount that my co-workers receive. Our paychecks say the exact same company name. The sales representative at the location said I got the discount… so he’s a liar then.

Again, some accounts are locked. Not all Verizon representatives have access to all accounts. You may need to talk to your supervisor to figure out how to contact the Verizon representative you need to talk to.

This has nothing to do with a locked account. He is trying to get an employee liable discount added to his account. He needs to go to verizonwireless.com/getdiscounts. Enter your email address and if that doesnt work fill out the paperwork and fax it to the 800 number. A corporate store should be able to do it but not everyone can figure it out I guess!

There is a big difference between a Corp Disc and Emp. If your employer has a Corp Disc only, that means the "CORP ACCT" lines billed/pd under the company get the discount, does not apply to employees.

GM, Ford have both, Corp and Emp liable accts. Your HR or someone with your company needs to see about setting up an Emp liable acct.

I'm trying to set up the Emp liable acct. Do you guys get paid for these accts? I think everybody is still in contract w/ Verizon. There might be a couple people whose contract is up... like mine.

Sadly your employer has to have an agreement with Verizon Wireless to allow for employees to have a discount on personal services. Some companies sometimes only setup corporate rate services with us which are usually billed to the employer. I can look up the company tomorrow and see if there is a profile for personal services.. 🤭 Sadly, I notic wfine81 offered to fax the form to you. A little heads up if you are in the western part of the US it may take at least 3-4 weeks for that discount to get added. The team that processes those requests are behind terribly ad I know this personally as I use to be in that department. And no, you can't reach them by phone. 😉

The reason VZW employees cant help you is because we arent your employer. If your employer signed a Master Service Agreement with VZW, they should know. For VZW to find if your employer signed one we need to search a system that will have it listed by the exact name your employer entered for their companies name.

As for the other dealerships, I know Ford and GM both have programs with VZW so their dealerships get discounts based on the Ford/GM contract with VZW. Chrysler might have the same thing, where as I am pretty sure Hyundai does not. What this means is anyone that runs a GM dealership can get a discount off of phones, so there are cases where one company will own multiple dealerships and they will get a discount for their GM dealer...
