What can be done about dropped calls?

Well folks, the verdict is in...and I can't seem to hold anything over 10 minutes when calling from home...so...

1. Should I get a different handset altogether (new make/model)?

2. Just carry on and wait for a closer cell tower to arrive (they don't know when that will be, but they said it WILL come)

3. Or switch carriers (which I really don't want to do)... ☹️

I have a CDM-9900 which didn't seem to be a problem at home in the beginning, but now doesn't seem to hold anything when at home (everywhere else is perfectly fine). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And BTW, this is my second replacement (and no, I did not tweak with the settings in the hidden menu).

Thanks in advance for any help out there.

how often do you turn that phone off, if you minimum 1 time per week, it will download programming the phone needs for reception, doit every couple of days till phone notices better signal, then do at least 1 time per week, should help quite a bit.

Hmm...never thought about that. Thanks for the insight, I will definitely try it, and hopefully I'll get better reception here.

Yes, in fact, I've been doing that *228 option 2 thing more than just once a month...but to no avail. I did shut it off for a long time and then overnight and it seemed to help out a great deal today. So hopefully, if I shut it off every time I charge it, it'll somehow readjust itself to making and holding calls later. Thanks for the help.
