Disappointed with the CES report
Maybe its just me, but it doesn't seem like there are any great phones being shown that at CES that are coming to Verizon. I was expecting to hear about the Samsung u900 that coming out, some LG, I would have been happy with Motorola phones coming out for Verizon... But nothing.. ha we did get sections all on Utstar and Sony Ericsson..but nothing really about Verizon..

Yes.......that stinks. I like Verizon service but they lag on the latest phones. In my Opinion the Voyager and the Venus is like me hyping up my new line of motorcyles "ARE YOU READY" and when I bring it out to display......It gain a few poundS and I taped a dvd player to the handle bars AND GAVE IT A COOL NAME.

I too was very disappointed. I was trying to find anything by searching online. I would have bought the Voyager if it didn't have the qwerty keyboard. In my opinion it made it too big for my liking, but thats just my opinion. If only Verizon would get a phone like the LG VU. But again, I couldn't believe there was nothing for Verizon.

I'm wary of a phone like the Vu from the standpoint of possible problems. I've seen my fair share of Treos that had parts of the screen go nonresponsive because of overuse. If you had a phone like the Vu which is entirely touch screen, you might have a phone you can't use after a year. It's hard to say how reliable that phone will be in the long run. I'm glad the Voyager has the keyboard because you can still use it if the touch screen stops working.

I agree. I'd much rather have the keyboard. Many people that have the iphone complained that it doesn't have a keyboard. Vzw has released scores of phones over the past few months, I would venture to say more than any other provider. People just like to complain. I don't think any of the handsets we sell are more than 7 months old.
I'm sure that vZW will have a prada variant as well. We have a great relationship with LG from what I know. Shouldn't be a problem.

You are right of course, but this is nothing new and you can see from the response here that not only does Verizon not care about that, but they will consider you to be a cry baby. The good news is the some day, Verizon will be forced to have better phones...

No new phones.... EVER. They are sooo happy with the sales of their current line they decided to keep all these phones in production FOREVER. They said if you wanted a new phone then you can use their open access network after June.
We know the U940 and the VZW Vogue (Touch) is coming as well as many other unnamed phones, but it's not like they will come out any time sooner.
