Why is Vcast embedded in rate plans on voyagers activated online

Its due to the way the web works on that phone. It has the enhanced browser and I guess they want eveyone to be safe. I think they pretty much require vcast so the data is unlimited.

Exactly, just like how the iPhone requires an iPhone plan with the data included.

you get a month free, just order it and then call and take it off a couple weeks later. It is good to have when you start anyways so you can play around with all that phone can do, plus if you are going to be downloading anything it will save you from getting data charges your first month for browsing

Dude I work for V..Lol I play with the phone everyday I go to work .. A customer had ordered and activated the voyager over the phone and needed help. They did not want to subscribe to vcast, I tried to remove it off from account in netace and it wouldn't allow me. It didn't appear on the account the same way vcast usually appears when you add it to an account.

i know with eroes we (indirects) can remove vcast and just have the pay per mb feature code on the voyager.

hmm, I have the voyager and i can chanege that on my account..I ordered mine online to so not sure where you are running into problems at.

The vcast code for nationwide plans is not the same as the vcast code for america's choice. You also have to put the pay as you go code on to remove vcast, chances are that is the step that was giving you the error. unlike with america's choice, we arent letting stores remove vcast without replacing it with the correct coding.
