Phonebook Bluetooth Transfer - VX8600

Does anyone know if you can transfer the phonebook using bluetooth on the LG VX8600? I just put a new CD deck in my car that supports bluetooth and phone calls, but I can't figure out how to upload the phonebook. Every time I set the CD deck to do that, the connection is broken. I know that some LG phones have the capability to do it, but I don't know if the VX8600 is one of them. Does anyone know? And if it does support the phonebook transfer via bluetooth, what am I doing wrong? I don't want to go through and manually enter my entire phonebook using the little knob on the deck. That would suck. Any help/advice is appreciated.

Well...any advice other than: "Switch to AT&T!" AT&T may work in Romania, but it doesn't work whe...

I used to have the 8600 and my co-worker and I paired our phones and could send one contact at a time. I couldn't find a way to do it all at once. Have you tried doing it that way? Mind you I was paired to another 8600, not a Cd deck. So maybe it will let you one at a time. Hey, it will give you something to do for a while 🙂

That would still be faster than entering the contacts manually. Do you remember where you went to send them one at a time?

You do it from the bluetooth menu. Once you connect the two phones to each other you go in to the bluetooth menu on the phone with the contacts. Then highlight the phone you are sending to and in the option you select send Vcard. It will then bring up your contacts and let you choose them to send. I think a lot of LG's will do 10 at a time.

That sounds right to me. Just pair your phone with the CD deck and then go into your bluetooth options. It has been quite some time since I played with it, but I am sure vzwinagent is correct. Good luck to you.

It may not work that way since the deck might not support vcards...just a thought

Switch to ATT or T Mobile.... 🤣

Why? The question wasn't, "How can I get crappy service on an old outdated technology", now was it? 😁

Well, in Avg Joe's crack-smoking world, that's okay, 'cuz ATT is great even when it doesn't work, 'cuz he hates Verizon so much.

Wotta simp. 🙄

I wouldn't know. ATT has always worked for me.

If I did drop calls like you guys seem to believe is normal I would switch companies. It simply is not an issue and certainly not enough to give up what you guys can only dream of.....

Big boys don't cry, Joe. 🤣

Seriously, I don't work for any carrier. If ATT worked best, I'd go with them. But they don't, so I won't.

If you hate Verizon, great... don't use them. 🙄

btw, avgjoe seems incapable of understanding basic concepts. He lacks the ability to understand that he isnt the most important person in the world, that other people matter more than him, what socialism and communism even are and that the biggest part is that he fails to understand what American consumers want.

There is little point in responding to him, because if you havent noticed yet he doesnt take in what you wrote. You can tell him he is wrong and explain exactly why, yet he keeps on going on that he is right.

His idiocy is so great that even plooky gave up on responding to him in a tread in the AT&T forum ;) That really suprised me, as in the past it has always seemed that people give up on plooky for not being able to un...
