my parents recently moved to an area that has no verizon service( and most likely no cell phone service) I work for cingular, and have heard of customers leaving verizon without a termination fee if they move to an area without service. is this true? if so how do you do it? more than likely there will never be a tower close to their house. any info would be appriciated. thanks

In the west (wyoming west) the policy would be to have your parents call the ez move department and the ez move department would request proof of move such as a utility statement, lease agreement, etc.

it's not necessarily if they move to a place where they can't get service. if vzw offers phone #'s in the area, the etf isn't waived. if they moved to the extended network or our of the footprint entirely, then it's waived.

When someone says they moved to place where there is no VZW service I assume that they are out of the footprint.

does vzw have a military suspension? For instance at T-Mobile we can suspend service for that reason for up to 12 months with no fee's... retain the account and phone number. Is he deployed with the navy or has he been stationed somewhere else? Also, if anything like that is available does it have to be the BILLING name in order for it to be done, or does that matter?
