I'm probably switching to Verizon. I currently have alltel, but it seems like Verizon's family plans are a better deal. I'm looking for a messaging phone. The Voyager looks really nice, I've tried it out a bit and really like the phone. However the touch screen seems a little finicky, maybe it just has a bit of a learning curve to it. I've read that it frequently locks as well. Is this an issue? The other thing I'm concerned about is battery life. if it will last me for a day, then that should be fine. What are your experiences with this phone? Is it a keeper overall, or is the touchscreen more of a novelty or nuisance as described in some phonescoop reviews.

Are there any other messaging phones that are better? The price of the V...

Alltel definitely wins it on basic things like calling, but Verizon's multimedia features like texting, TV, web, seem cheaper and of better quality.

umm the web is not cheaper at all. Texting I dunno . But alltels family plan tha tis 139.00 a month is 2200 min 20 mysircle numbers and unlimited texting on all lines and nights starting at 7pm. You will not beet that with any verizon plan! You can add web unlimited for 15.99 each line.

Well what is good about a touch screen?? it's cool!! My friend has it! Cause i Want one! 🙄 that sounds like something a teenager would say. and i'm tired of hearing it. So for me it's a NAY. The env is a very comparable option along with the samsung U740, both have QWERTY keyboards like the Voyager.

Mr. Jong-il,

The LG-Voyager is an excellent phone, but is not without its flaws, the battery life is quite good, and the touch screen is the same. We have not had to issue alot of warranty exchanges and not alot of the phones have been returned. If you want to see the best example of why you might want the phone, just check out the phonescoop's review, they detail the battery life etc. on here.

Awesome, thanks for your help. I was a bit concerned about the touch screen and the battery life, but it sounds like they are pretty good, or at least not a problem. I think I will purchase this phone, if I can find one. Thanks again.
