Phone that can restrict calls
Does Verizon currently have a phone that has the capability to restrict calls to just the contacts list? I know that LG3450 would do it, and I sold it many times because of that, but now we can't order that phone anymore. Does anyone know if any of the current phones can do the same? The Coupe maybe? Please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!

actually a lot of phones have that feature now. new Chocolate, 8350, u410, just go into the settings menu of any phone then security, restrictions.

Is that a restriction that a parent can put on the phone and the child can not change? The 3450 had a pin code that was different than the lock code to keep them out. I would check but I am out of phones at the moment. Thanks for the help!

yea they are locked by the lock code and you can change it from the default (last 4 of phone number) to what ever the parent wants.

The motorola w315 is just like the lg 3450. You can restrict the incoming and outgoing calls to just those listed in the contacts. The password protect the contact list.
Hope that helps

I have "tested" the restricting to "contacts only." The person still gets one's voice mail and if you happen to be on a call when "the call" comes in it actually rings through on call waiting.. I tested so I would have an understanding of what "actually happens." Just my litte 2 cents 🙂

Also, wouldn't the phone user just be able to change the numbers saved into their contacts, so it wouldn't really restrict who they can make and receive calls from?

Good question. I know with the sprint phones I had you locked the phone to that. So they would need the unlock code to do anything to the phone other then call or receive calls from your contacts

Well atleast on the LG once you locked it to contacts only you couldnt edit or add a contact. But I dont know about the other phones for sure, but I'd assume they are all the same.
