33 daytime hours a month is a lot of phone time.Nearly a WORK week on the phone LOL.
Marketing Rules. No one does it better than Verizon.
There are currently somewhere between 45-50 million users in the US paying 99 a month or more for their voice plans so what does all this equate to oh great average one? A wireless world where most people have a lot more going on than you. Quit being clueless Joe, not everyone sits at home as bored as you with nobod...

Joe- You are not average at all, but below average. The average cellular customer uses his phone around 500 peak minutes a month. When you look at ARPU you will see VZW and at@t are around 51 bucks per user/unit and closer to 60 for Sprint. You Joe are on a piddly plan with two phones if I remember correctly using 550 shared minutes with a pool of rollover(2000+) you will never use unless you find some new friends in your life.

Why is that? Does at&t offer unlimited?
2000 hours is nearly whole work week talking on the phone!!Oh and Not coounting week-ends and nights. I would say those who are on the phone for 40 hours plus a month had better be being paid for it. That's a lot of gabbing.
SunCom has had unlimited for years at $69 (including junk fees) here anyway. So $99 seems a lot more expensive for the same.
Unlimited calling is like Roll Over It really benefits few (Roll Over for low use, Unlimited for High use) but sounds like a great idea and are great marketing tools..

Funny I've never seen Suncom in my area. They must be huge, and have a national network with no roaming, right? 🙄 Don't get all pissy because you sprint trolls were wrong. If you're going to bash this plan, you have to bash the idea of having any plan. Each plan services it's own niche. If you can't appreciate that or understand that you obviously don't understand the business.
This is where you lose it for many. MOst people do not care How LARGE a coverage area is. If that were the case GSM would BLOW AWAY CDMA WORLDWIDE!!
They only care about what works where they need it MOST of the time. Someone who does not travel much can pay $69 TOTAL including the junk fees for the same cover...

the unlimited plan is an awesome idea the people that i talk to on a daily basis pay more than $100/month average and where verizon does offer the option to change your plan at any time and backdate it if you are going over your min...most people dont check there min. it is not an option for everyone but it will be perfect for alot of people....you may think that is too much time to spend on the phone but alot of people use it for business and have to be on the phone all day long, and blow over 2000 min easy on a month to month basis...it is also a promotion to try to get people to do away with there home phones and just use there cell phones....i have had 100s of people ask me for an unlimited plan and i c

Ha Ha, VZW! You must be really scaring off at&t to come out with such promotions.
What's the small print say? Just like the "Unlimited data", there has to be restrictions.
