I think this is funny.
Are Nextel and Verizon two bulls locking horns or something? Has anyone else had an experience like this?

That sounds like a load of B.S. to me used just to close the sale.
Well, my cousin and me went to the VZW store and he know already what he wanted. The sale was closed already when the VZW guy there was working some stuff out on his computer, when he asked my cousin what carrier he switched from.

I'm not with Verizon or anything, but my cousin recently switched from Nextel to Verizon, and they gave him $50 off of his phone (Moto V710) for switching from Nextel. Not for switching to them from any other carrier, but just because he was switching from Nextel lol. I think that's pretty cool and funny. 🤣

cingular and at&t were one of the firsts and it was a good move on cingular's part. and i keep hearing about verizon merging with different people but nothing has happened. like i heard they were going to buy sprint, then nextel but then sprint and nextel got together, and then i heard alltell. so when is it going to happen? i support verizon all the way and they have the overruling coverage, but they need to kick some serious bootay if they want to stay up there.
but they need to kick some serious bootay if they want to stay up there.1.5 million subscribers per quarter isn't good enough? They'll overtake Cingular pretty quickly at their current rate. There's no reason for them to merge with anyone...but they do have their eyes on Alltel.

wow i did not know that statistic. that is pretty good. do you know how many subscribers they have currently?
42.1 million as of end of 3Q04 1Q05 should be out in the next few weeks...
By the way, net customer addidions for 3Q04 for VzW were just over 1,674,000 so it's a little more than 1.5 mil.
Cingular is just over 46 million...

Cingular didnt do to shabby 4th quarter... 1.8 million net adds bringing them to a grand total of 49.1 million subs... unless verizon can keep up the pace, i dont know about them catching up.
