blackberry pearl?
hi...ok, here is my situation...i have had a RAZR V3C for just over 2 yrs...the battery was dying a few months ago so i got a new battery...now randomly sometimes when the phone is charging or if im in the middle of a convo or texting the whole screen goes white..and the phone works i just cant see what im doing, so i have to power it off and then on, sometimes it works, others its still all white...so basically i rhink the phone is going and i need a new phone..
was wondering what ppl thought of the verizon blackberry pearl...is it good for texting, internet and how is it as a phone? is the battery life good on it? any pros/cons would be appreciated...also if anyone else has had the same issue i did please let me know what u did

The reviews are strong, just be aware that you will have to pay a minimum of $25 per month to use the BB service. That is a turnoff for some.
You can try it out for 15 days and see if you like it

thanks chris...yeah i saw on the website w 450 anytime min (which is what i use now), unlimited data, texting, night/weekend, in calling was 99.99
...
yeah my bill is about the same, but i get a little bit of a break with my corporate discount. Good luck in your choice.

I have had the pearl for sometime and love it out of all the Bb's offered now at Verizon. Would love to get the curve just because of size and keyboard.
I think it works great would not want to be with out it. Email is great i sell on the side like Ebay and craigslist works nice to be able to respond to the emails ASAP. Battery life for me is fine but I am not on my phone 24/7 either. I charge it every couple days. Texting does take some getting used to but is easy after a day or so. Just don't watch what you type and check it afterwards for correct spelling it also will learn your words as well. Try checking out the website crackberry.com and blackberry.com in there forums.

thanks for the great response slines...it helps a lot...yea the web is def great for being able to chk those sports scores when ure away from the house or a pc...the texting i think will be ok, i text alot om my RAZR so im sure i could get used to textin on the pearl...

Well what I have was a family shared plan Wife and Me was $69.99 then I bought into the BB and signed up for the $29.99 BIS plan that is for non business. Plus we get a discount through the business I work for so that makes up some of it. You can get any plan you want then add the balckberry feature of 29.99 some reps don't know this yet why I don't know since this plan has been out since Nov/07. Best would be is to stop in to a Corp store and talk to them usally they are well informed but phone reps need more help.
We have a 700 anytime min plan and I only have the BB my wife has an LG. She is not into all this BB stuff and gadgets like me and Chris are. If you have more questions let me or Chris know.

Yes I want that phone more than the pearl. The wife will kill me but I want that phone. I like it better. It is kind of like the 8703E with the keyboard.

yeah...i like the feel and look of the 8830 a little more, but Im really starting to miss having a camera on my phone. The curve def feels a little cheaper than the 8800 series.

do you like the pearl as a pure phone? i basically need the phone for texting, to make calls, and to use the web/email...i know the pearl is good for texting/email/web...but how is it as far as making calls...ppl had complained about the ringers and battery?
