EV-DO is separate from voice so if you have a phone like the XV6600 and you are on a data call and you receive a voice call, because it is one device but separate types of calls the call will still come through but if you are using a mobile web service that isnt EV-DO based then its like a regular voice call. Currently EV-DO is available in 30 markets, there should be a list at Verizonwireless.com if not feel free to contact your local store.
