Does anyoen have any idea if the data plan s will eventually change to a lower price. I have verizon, but it just kills me that the other data plans are so much cheaper. Now sprint even gives unlimted data with their unlimited minutes for only $99.00
...
It's my understanding that Verizon customers enjoy paying more because they have the network included. Just look at verizon and their net adds!..they pay more for less because they're on America Most Reliable!
...
Verizon's voice network is better than Sprint's...but I can assure you that Sprint's EVDO network is bigger and faster.
...
Thanks for assuring me I feel all warm inside with your vast knowledge that you've bestowed on me 🤣 🤣
...
Verizon's as fast, if not faster. The truth is that on the data side sprint and verizon are very similar. Although in my area, verizon is substantially faster. It's the voice that sets us apart and if you have a voice plan with verizon, odds are any data plan you get will be with verizon also.
...
Blackberry pricing has recently been decreased and is pretty fair for whats out there in the marketplace. Sprint dropped a bomb on everybody with their plan, but time will only tell how the public responds and what it does for their business.
I do think vzw will lower data prices for PDA's pretty soon. They are way outta whack. Maybe they will do it when the touch comes out.

They better or I will ask to speak with a supervisor
...
have fun with that supervisor!

That would work at SPrint, but verizon will tell you to pound sand!
...
What does Sprint have to do with anything???? Any if Verizon told me to pound sand I would cancel.
...
🤣 So if Verizon doesn't give you a free Curve with reduced data rates you'll cancel? 😕 ok I'll play along where will you go?
...
Never said I would cancel if Verizon can't provide me with a reduced data rate. I said I'd cancel if they told me to "pound sand" or whatever it was that would told me they would tell me.
Point is Verizon is the only company left charging customers $44.99 for data. Let alone 44.99 for only internet/e-mail access and not navigation or tv. I'm not saying I expect them to go down to $15 like Sprint (although that would be nice and result in more customers with data plans) but $25 or $30 would be reasonable.
...
Just deal with it or port! From what I'm told you're paying a premium price for use of a superior network, and verizon customers don't mind paying extra!
...
Sure VZW customers mind! Every time I get my bill, I feel raped. However, since my calls go through when other friends' calls do not, that keeps me on VZW, but not clicking my heels with joy at being pounded on prices.
$45 for data is nuts, but it is a business write-off, so I go with it.
At least VZW gives me flowers (the network)!

ATT $15 unlimited data,,,,ANY data Nav or whatever.

How quick can 10 MB be used on Verizon's network? Or how many web pages? Do PIX/FLIX messages use KB??
...
Really...I am thinking of switching over tonight to my Q
...
The pix/flix messages are included in your text package.
...
Is it true that text messages over 160 characters don't work on the Q? Or can you download an application that will make them be received in one message? Also do PIX/sound combos work on Q? I heard they don't.
...
they dont work on any phone...send a pix message. The character limit is 1000 typically.
...
whenever I send a text over 160 the person on the other end gets a really long text message... I've sent texts that are 500+ characters and the person on the other end simply gets one text message.
Oh, I use AT&T btw.... but you know, 'AT&T sucks'

True true i do hate the static!
...
I never get static on my phone.
...
Chill! Did I slam Verizon? No. I only said that I never get static.
...
I was just playin bro 😛
...
consider yourself lucky! I can usually tell when I am talking to someone who has att. It just never sounds as clear as verizon, sprint, or USCC
...
It might be getting better, but maybe it is just a fluke...seems like over the last few months it has improved. My friend has att and in the past i would be like look bro i can't stand talking with you anymore! just come on over or call me from a land line, your **** sucks! It seems that verizon is worse to att than sprint to att, that's just my experience tho.
...
I lost a lotta friends when I had "Cingular" back in 06 (which is also the reason why I'll never ger a Nokia phone again) due to the sucky reception. But at&t seems to work for me now. I never had a problem with Verizon's reception, I just didn't like the other stuff.
...
i can't speak to the what its like on sprint. I just know that when I call my parents, I can always tell when they are on their phones. Att's network just isnt up to par in terms of sound quality when compared to the cdma carriers.
maybe someday....
...
Sprint sucks compared to everyone else. I had them recently.

Just because you say so doesn't make it a fact, but anyways what phone did you have?
...
It's not just me, my friend! I tried the Mogul, Centro, and Q.
...
😲 crazy the Centro is sweet, but i use the Touch with zero problems.oh well 🙂
...
I wish at&t had a touch.
...
I would prolly take att over sprint. But when you are talking about strictly voice quality, sprint is really good--when you get a signal 🤣
...
Veizon is good and since sprint piggy backs on verizon i have never not had a signal...actually i have never left my native foot print but once. I choose Sprint for data, but who care right? each to his own!
...
They do have cheap data, I'll give em' that.
...
🤣 what are you laughing at you have att! 🤣 😉
...
160 characters is an industry standard. Im sure the person you sent it to got multiple texts. i've gotten long texts from att people and they sure didn't come as one long text.
And im glad to see your finally realizing that att sucks, maybe you can go tell everyone back at your own forum 🙄
...
I can't say for sure about the Q but I know on my Blackberry it will not let me do more then 160. I know the other PDA's are the same so I'm guessing the Q would be too.
...
I am not sure on the Q, but I know on my i760 they break up the messages to 160 characters and send/recieve multiple messages.
Also. sound files play either before or after the picture, not at the same time.
I would imagine that it is the same on the Q.
...
You have an i760? If I ever return to VZW, that'd be my phone of preference. How is it?
...
You change providers a lot, when wil you return to verizon?
...
Not anytime soon. The wife wants to stay on at&t, and we're grandfathered into the $19.99 unlimited data. I'd love a 6800 or i760. But then again, who says that I'd necesarilly have to leave at&t to get a verizon phone?
...
cool cool..if you had to choose one carrier for the rest of your life which one would it be, and why?
...
That's a toughie, because they all have major and cons.
...
That question really backs a mofo into a corner eh? lol I couldn't answer it either I'm happy with Sprint now but do not take away my choice to port and try something new!
...
I'd choose T-Mobile, if they'd get a Windows Mobile phone with 3g.
...
Sry 'ifs' were not allowed in the question!
...
Sry? Anyway, I'd go with either Verizon, or stay with at&t.
...
The 6800 looks good. I tried the Mogul (Sprint's 6800, for those that aren't on point with phones), and got mad at the fact that I had to e-mail pics and videos. Verizon naturally has MMS. What was Sprint thinking?
...
I love it! The only complaint I have about it is the reception at my house is kind of crappy, but I live a ways out of town, so that's to be expected.
...
How is it featurewise?
...
The camera is ok, I love windows mobile 6, but this is my first PDA, so I really don't have a whole lot to compare it to. VZW didn't disable the wi-fi, and that's what I use (I'm not paying $44.99 a month for a data plan I wouldn't use) I like the qwerty keyboard on this one because the keys are a bit larger and spaced further apart than on, say, the en V.
...
I had an EnV. It tried to hard to be a pda, IHMO. I kinda miss the XV6700 (despite the fact that VZW, unlike the other carriers that carried that phone, disabled the tethering feature).

Dammmm just make the call. Its a lot faster and surely less frustrating....
