Please Be Nice...

I have been lurking these threads for a while, and although I have only posted once before (this is my second post) I am NOT a troll. I am a VZW customer, have been for 5 years, just renewed my NE2 with a Voyager (BTW I love that phone!) so I'm not trying to bash Verizon.

That being said, I've noticed that many people ON THIS BOARD are quite nasty to posters on these threads. I understand there have been a lot of trolls on here lately, but some people have pretty legit questions and don't need people answering rudely with posts implying that the poster is an idiot for posting the question in the first place. Many VZW reps post on here, and should be more amicable with the posters who ask simple, albeit sometimes noobish questions.

OK rant over. If you want to bash me for trying to ask you guys to be nice, go ahead. Just my 2 cents.

The legitimate post are being answered the mods are not killing user names right and left just for fun.

Oh good, the mods are finally doing something about the trolls (no wonder I haven't seen avgjoe in a while lol)

I know they're being answered but it's the tone of most of the most recent posts (not all of them, just some) talking down on the poster asking the question.

Again sorry, not meaning to offend anybody, just an observation about this forum recently.

understandable; if you notice, some of us are trying to help with the posters intially, then when we get slammed or get a ridiculous response back, we give 'em what for, like the recent kid texting debacle with ... michealbrown, or whomever that was. no one's perfect, we're just getting alot of crap in here, which is degrading the quality of the discussion, as you've seen. appreciate the input!

I do understand that, especially the stupid repeat threads when the answer is on the SAME PAGE lol.

you guys are nicer than I thought though and I appreciate the warm welcome 😁 .

no prob man.
i try to be nice, but when ppl complain about not getting credits for legit charges, i start to get angry. you pay for what you use/do. deal with it. be a big boy and pay the bill.

I mostly agree. Sure, lots of trolls hanging around (or, at least were). I imiagine that would start to get under the skin of everyone. Even when a question is legit, sometimes the poster asking it doesn't like what they hear and gets angered.

However, no excuse. I'm not a VZW CSR but I logged about 12 years at different companies 'being on the phones'. I've been yelled at a good share. I've been to the front line and got my wounds. It's not an easy job, hats off to the VZW reps that do it.

I say that because I do think that, under any circumstances, a VZ Rep in here should never lose their cool, no matter what the circumstances. Realizing that is trying at times, I have to assume that a rep identified as an employee of VZW is n...
