Verizon Job
I was looking in taking a job with Verizon Wireless just wanted to know what goes into the job. Such as quotas, boss's, pay etc...... Thanks to all the respond.

Rumors i've heard-
1. Quota at our local store is 100 phones
2. You need to get 100% data sales
What i wouldn't like-
You get all the $hitty pissed off customers. People are always pissed when they have to wait in line.
What wouldn't be too bad-
Training in Bellevue, WA everything paid for. Hmmm is it training or a vacation. lol
Just my opinions.

Where is your local store? Are quotas different based on the market? What do you mean by 100% data sales?
...
I'm not gonna release my location information, sorry. I believe quotas are different based on the markets.
By 100% data sales i mean that you either need to activate everyone with a data plan, for example Txt, Mobile Web, Pix. Some stores even do above the 100% by adding data to plans that already exist. I personally think this is one of there toughest goals.

How do these quotas compare to Cingular and T-Mobile?

Quotas change monthly based on your location and holidays (of course). Data I've heard is not 100% but definitely up there and that's the main concern with managers. Also selling accessories is ridiculously important. It depends on your location but I know the stores around where I live it's not that hard to find a position especially with Circuit City's needing more verizon employees.

Current goals in my area (I work for a direct coporate location) are 90 activations, 75 qualifying upgrades a month, 150% data, 2.5 accessory ratio and 35% on $55+ price plans. Not very easy but when you hit those numbers you can definitely bank. Data is pushed so hard because for all carriers it is almost pure revenue and they pay their sales reps well for that same reason.
