Upgrade Options...confused

On verizon my account it says I get the new every two 4/29/09. When can I upgrade just at 2 year discount without the new every two?

I've heard so many different answers to this. I was told by one rep that I can upgrade at 12 month point and get the regular two year pricing (early upgrade) and pay $20 esn swap charge. Is that true?

Depending on your priceplan, it is true. If your base service (not including features) is at least $49.99, then you can do an upgrade at 12 months since your last upgrade sans the NE2. As far as the $20 fee goes, it's market specific. I'm in the Northeast and have never seen it be charged

What market? I'm in the Philly market and used to be in Baltimore/Washington market and it was never charged.

If that is the case, then you last purchased a new phone at discount August 29, 2007 (give or take a day). If that's when you last upgraded then yes...your new every two credit is not till then. If you are on the $49.99 price plan or higher (as the other response stated) then you can upgrade at 2 year pricing with a new contract on August 29, 2008 + $20 processing fee. The $20 fee is area specific as previously stated. Those are your answers.

The answers above so far are correct. To clarify a little further. If you aren't eligible for the annual upgrade then your 2 year upgrade date will be the same as your NE2 date. Not all lines have NE2, the lines that do have NE2 get it at 20 months, just like a standard upgrade.
