if you don't have insurance, you can tell them that you lost your phone. then i heard you can get 25% off of the retail price with a 2 year contract but it resets everything.

The 25% discount is no longer available. It also didn't require you to sign a 2 year contract wit the discount. There's a new policy now: If you have a damaged or lost/ stolen phone and you don't have insurance or is elgible for an upgrade, then you can purchase a phone @ a 1 year contract pricing. It's still discounted pricing but you would have to sign a 1 year contract and your upgrade/ contract dates would reset.

no need to copy and paste. it's kind of long. go to the mp titled lost, stolen and damaged policy and process. it's the section called "Lost / Stolen / Damaged at 1-year Retail Price". this has been out for a long time now. 10/5/2007 to be exact! just to let the other guy know, full retail is 469.99 and 1-year is 419.99-50.00mail in rebate so 369.99. not bad since you're only losing out on about 70 bucks compared to the 2 year price.

just sell your 8300 on craigslist or ebay for around a $100 bucks, then apply that money towards the purchase of a voyager. Thats what a lot of people on this site do when they have to have the latest and greatest equipment. Happy hunting!
