Motorola Timeport 270c not seeing its Bluetooth module

Hello!

I purchased a Timeport 270c via eBay. It was claimed that the phone is a Verizon phone, and when I called Verizon before the purchase and gave them the ESN, they said they would have no problem activating it.

I got the phone, it activated just fine and works well (LOVE the speakerphone!). The only problem I have is that when I slide the Bluetooth module (eBay from a different seller) onto it, the "Bluetooth Link" menu item does not show up under the Settings > Connection menu as it should according to the Bluetooth module manual.

The phone does not have any Verizon logo on it. It only has a Motorola logo at the bottom of the face plate. I do not know if it should have a Verizon logo, I am just assuming it would, nor do I know if that would make any difference.

Also, when I tried to get the latest software installed, three different stores and techs tried but failed. The last one said that the file system was not compatible and that the phone had a file ending with .SHX extension and the software he had ended with a .PHB extension. Any ideas on why it will not upgrade the software?

Thanks for helping!
