Im not a Verizon basher .. Ive had them for YEARS .. Ive had many many phones in that span and the one thing i cant nor ever will understand is why Verizon cant come out with a good camera phone .. I thought my wants were answered with the Flipshot but after getting it i cant believe thats a 3.2 MP camera .. My ENV took better pics .. I have the Voyager now and the pics are ok but if its even a lil dark .. YUCK

My work paid for At&T for a bit and I went out and got the a 5MP SE and boy do I miss that .. I left my Camera at home because it took pics just as good

besides talking with is a no brainer .. I would think Txting and Pics are next in line in what most people want in a phone .. and im not talking about Business type people I'm...

are you actually downloading the pics to a computer then checking them out? Sometimes the resolution on a phone doesnt look so hot, but when you put them on a computer everything is much improved.

Camera's are important, but I really still believe that most people still use camera phones for "quick shots" or for those instances when you didn't think you would need a camera. I always bring my digi cam if I know I am going somewhere where I will want to take a pictures. Digital cameras are so small today, its pretty easy to carry both a camera and a cell phone.

Just my thoughts

i hear ya and thats what i always did until i had the SE .. to be honest that took just as good pics as my sony 5mp camera did .. not as many functions but it was alot more than just for quick shot use .. as i said it allowed me to leave my digi at home ..

when there is ample light and by ample i mean ALOT of light the voyager takes decent pics .. however even in the slightest bit of low light the pics come out dark as anything .. my old ENV took better low light pics and my A990 as well .. granted no flash on the voyager but idk ive played with the N95 had the 5mp SE and trust me when i tell u if u had one of those you woldnt need to bring your digi along with you

but thanks for the comments

I can vouch that the Flipshot takes horrible pictures. That thing should not be rated at 3MP.

Verizon Wireless traces its roots to Bell Atlantic Mobile, NYNEX Mobile Communications, AirTouch Communications, PrimeCo Communications, and GTE Mobilnet. Bell Atlantic Mobile and NYNEX Mobile Communications merged in 1995 to create Bell Atlantic-NYNEX Mobile, and in 1997 their namesake Baby Bell parents followed suit to form the new Bell Atlantic and their wireless subsidiary was renamed Bell Atlantic Mobile. Bell Atlantic Mobile and NYNEX Mobile Communications was created from Advanced Mobile Phone Service, Inc., which was a subsidiary of AT&T created in 1978 to provide cellular service nationwide. AMPS, Inc. was divided among the RBOCs as part of the Bell System Divestiture.

Meanwhile, in June 1999, AirTouch Communications

On February 19, 2008, Verizon Wireless became the first of the "big" cellular companies to offer unlimited minutes talk plans.[2]

Not that it has anything to do with the discussion, but shouldnt media outlets get facts straight before reporting?

Sprint has had an unlimited plan for years now, and its been in every plan brochure for at least the last 2 years.

I am the guy that points out that it's impossible to have been with Verizon for 14 years. That's who the F I am.

I don't care if you think Verizon's phones are dated and overpriced. It doesn't concern me in the least. If you're going to complain about something, at least be honest when you're complaining. Otherwise, you'll just irritate the audience.

Okay Dip siht! Like I said I have been with GTE/VERIZON or whatever for 14 years. Like I care what you think. Are you an F ing freak or what? Get a life RobtheBaby 🤣

I was honest; Verizons phones are dated and the data is over priced. Are you like Verizons mother or something. 🤣 Settle down little boy! 😉

🙄

I point out a mistake, and you start name calling. Yet I'm the one that should settle down. Again, I don't care if you think Verizon's phones are dated and their data is overpriced. It doesn't concern me in the least. If you really cared enough about it, you would just switch companies. By all means...switch companies. Just make sure you get their name right the first time when you switch over.

I have no affiliation with Verizon any more, as an employer or a customer. It makes no difference to me what phones they carry. It makes no difference to me what you think of their phones.

My problem is that you seem to think your opinion is more valid than someone else's because you've had a cell phone for so long. Otherwise, why bother mentioning you've had one for 14 years? I point something out, and you call me names, say my panties are in a bunch, and make assumptions about me. If you really have had a cell phone for 14 years, you'd be at least 32 years old. Quit acting like you're 12.

Not to defend him or anything...but people have had cell phones longer than 14 years. He's just saying he's been with Verizon for 14 years because that's what the name is now. You can trace back the routes to Bell Atlantic Mobile even further back...it's not unusual. It basically is saying "I've been with the same carrier for 14 years." So next time ya want to "wikipedia" him...do more research.

It bothers me when people are trying to prove a point and lie about something to further prove it. Sue me. When I worked for Verizon, I heard this all the time. "I deserve a free phone! I've been with you guys for 265 years!" It's a pet peeve. It comes from whiny customers that think they deserve some sort of special treatment over everyone else. If you've had a cell phone for 14 years, great. More power to you. I couldn't care less so don't try to get free crap or validate an unnecessary complaint with it. It's ridiculous.

I was just saying I have been with the company....verizon or whatever for 14 plus years. You are still calling me a liar and that is rude. If it doesnt matter to you then get over it. You dont even make sense. Time for you to get a new job. FYI a customer that has been loyal to your company for 14 plus year you should give the benefit of the doubt to customer. Now get back in your dark closet you little Verizon mushroom.

You should really work on a little thing I like to call literacy. I no longer work for Verizon. I did it for a while. It was ok. I don't do it any more.

Next time you go into a Verizon store to do anything, just realize that the reps that work there couldn't give a rat's ass how long you've been with the company. It's completely irrelevant. If you're complaining about something, your tenure with the company makes absolutely no difference with what a rep can or cannot do. You'd be better off saying nothing than saying you've been with a company longer than it's been in existence.

For what it is worth, I had the LG 8700 (the really slick aluminum/chrome exterior) and it took excellent pictures even at 2.0 mp.

I got rid of it because I was not happy personally with the sound quality in the earpiece.
