PDA Data

Has anyone heard about a new PDA data plan? I know that we have some training on PDA data soon and I have a feeling that there might be a plan similar the the Email and Web for BB but of course don't know for sure. Anyone know anything? Also I wonder what differences it would have from the current unlimited data plan (if they kept it around) like with BB. It would be nice if there was a cheaper option for PDA/Smartphones.

Thanks. When you say corporate email do you mean exchange servers? I always get confused here.

Isn't it already $24.99 for non-corporate, like AOL or Gmail type of personal e-mail?

I don't think it is being released till Monday, so they won't tell you until it is released and they might not know about it yet, I just found out yesterday.

I recently was given a treo 700w from my nephew, I wanted a pda phone just seemed easier for this mom to have everything located in one place, My husband and I are on the family plan,(texting is pay as i go, not included in my plan) I do some texting, which is another reason I like the treo for the keyboard but I am not sure on all of the other options, like the web stuff & if I switch my IM's to my mobile phone do I get charged for that, is it considered texting or data? my every two is up in July,I am not sure when I renew, what plan I should go with, I know I need the family part of it, I do like this treo a lot, so I would either stay with this or can you recommend a newer phone coming out, ( I really love the pink Centro too) Can any o...

If you switch to using IM's, as in downloading AIM, Yahoo, MSN etc...you will be using data for every bit of that usage. Pay-per-kb is $0.005/kb which sounds cheap but racks up FAST. The new data pricing will probably be useful for you if you go this route. The pink centro may not ever show up on Verizon or it might. Verizon tends to pick a color that is not already being used if they can (without going to...say...fuscia). The Centro is inbound for Verizon soon as well. If your "new every two" comes up in July, then that is when you can upgrade service and equipment. Depending upon your text message habits, if you are close or over $5, then you will want to add the $5 text plan.
