$55 activation fee
I know that VZW charges the new $20 fee on any phones activated now except to new every 2, but how do they expect to charge it to new customers and then expect them to pay another $35 on the bill?? I was just about to activate a new customer and the fee popped up. I wasnt allowed to waive it and when i told the customer about it they laughed and left. %% bucks total to activate a phone, WTF??

I have never heard of this fee, is it something limited to corporate stores?
...
Not sure, I work Corp and its called the device initiation fee. Here's the communication I got on it...

Would this also be when a customer calls into CS?
...
Not sure as of yet. Still trying to get clarification on all the situations.

I had heard that it would. I guess you could say it may be like the $15 charge to change a number...Under digression.
...
unless it changed it is not charged on new acts.
...
not sure what you are talking about. the 20$ fee only applies to early upgrades for non merits customers. it does not apply to new customers nor does it apply to those eligable for ne2 or standard upgrade.
...
Midnight If Im not mistaken arent you only a customer?? I had the fees apply yesterday on standard upgrades on 9.99 lines and today on a new activation.. Not sure if this is a system error but management is set on not straying from the charges being applied.

I believe it's only for direct channels 🤣 in this situation, I'm glad I'm not corp 🙂. sucks that VZW's money-grubbing ways are getting more prohibitive. I understood that it was only for upgrades, but if it's for new lines as well, that sucks. that would make me buy my phones elsewhere, honestly.
