I think they are having a more than usual difficult time of forcing their GUI on on it and crippling some features and still allowing the phone to get that crystal clear drop less Verizon call quality.....

I mean the phone has been out over a year already...I think they should give up on this one and let Audiovox or some other drug store electronics brand give it a go......

By the time Verizon figures it all out and gets it to work they way THEY want it to will be old news.......OOps its ALREADY old news.

Ya think?

I don't think it's a software issue. They could use the same software that's in the 8830 or the Pearl with a few minor adjustments (adding a camera to 8830 software, increasing screen resolution on Pearl software). Hard to say why this one is taking so long to release.

Does anyone know the cost of the Curve at full retail price and the price if you do a 1 year contract? Thanks

im sure full retail will be under $500...over 500 would be a bit ridiculous (but a part of me wouldn't be totally shocked. Full retail on the 8830 is about $469).

1 year price is prolly going to be pretty expensive as well. My guess would be $350-400.

Bottom line: Plan on spending 350-500 if you are not going to be signing a 2 year deal
