Meh... ATT added 1.29 million, good but not great, and only about half of that was postpaid (705k). Churn was unchanged at 1.7%, good by ATT standards but still way above VZW's churn.
Verizon will likely beat 'em in overall net adds, and definitely in postpaid. Churn isn't even a contest.
All I can say is, ATT should sent a gift basket to Sprint, and Steve Jobs. A lot of what they've been able to do has been on the backs of Sprint's continuing implosion, and the iPhone. But I will give ATT props on their prepay, that's been accounting for a TON of their net adds.
Maybe they should change their name again, this time to GoPhone? 😉
