Music on the Voyager

I have a customer that has downloaded all of his CD's to his voyager but when he goes to open them it states things about license agreements. I have contacted Tech support and they gave me a print out of how he needed to download the files he has done that and still can not get the music to open

Any Idea's

yeah, he ripped it using wmp and they're copyright protected. Need to use a different program to rip and copy. Google is your friend!

You can actually just set Windows Media Player to rip them in to MP3 and then they will play on the phone.

you're half correct. Yes if he ripped with windows media player, there is an option in "rip music" to select "copy protect music." All he needs to do is uncheck that box, and rip the music again.

I would advise he rip as mp3. It will work as long as that selection is off. I rip from wmp all the time. No need for another program.

My experience has been good with wmp, however there has been instances where the copy protected music will still not play.

CD's are generally in MP4 format (it protects, copyrights, and encrypts the purchased content)

The phone will support mp3 or wma. Either convert the files or re-download them as mp3's from limewire.


Summary: the phones don't support mp4.
