No GPS on xv6900

was dissapointed to see that GPS was not included for xv6900. all that i read about xv6900 before its release indicated that this phone would be GPS enabled but when it was rolled out it wasn't.
does anybody know if verizon will introduce something later to make this GPS enabled or is this something that can never be done since the phone has rolled out.

here is one solution for the time being, but you will risk the chance of bricking your 6900.
