I have the voyager and it wontturn on and its now water damaged. i called the store to make surte they have one there to replace it and they said no theyd have to send me one. i work all day and cant afford to take a day off work to get my phone. ive been without the phone for a week now. And the only other option that we have is they can have one sent to their store which is still an hour away. What should i do???
...
They don't replace phones that show moisture damage in store. Do you have insurance? if so why wouldn't you file the claim with assurion and have them ship the phone to you?
...
it does not have any water damage and yeah i have insurance

Huh?

Typo, I think she ment "it's NOT water damage". I was confused too.
...
You said you have water damage?
Do you have insurance?
If so, go to www.phoneclaim.com
They can ship the phone to your work. Just make sure your receptionist is cool with holding a package for you. Once you get it, there will be instructions inside so you can activate it. You should be ok this way!
...
i do not have water damage. no water damage. none at all. yes i have insurance. and i have asked work previously if i could ship a package there and they said no. but thanks!
...
ah you typed now water damaged but maybe you meant not water damaged
gotcha
They seriously won't take a package for you? I guess the other way is to ask a neighbor if they could get it for you or if nothing else works, just get them to send it to you without a signature so they can just drop it off somewhere at your house or apartment.
...
When they ship a FRU phone, it goes through fed-ex. If you aren't there to sign the package, normally you can just go to fed ex and pick it up. I know in my town they are open until around 8 or so. I would just check their hours and give that a shot.
...
yeah but fed ex is 45 minutes away from me. âšī¸ but thanks!
...
Usually with FedEX you can leave a note on the door saying to leave the package without a signature and sign the note. If they won't leave it then on the back of the "We missed you" slip they leave at the door after the first attempt there is a spot to sign saying they can leave the package without your signature just make sure you leave it on your door. If the package gets stolen then you are responsible for it so I wouldn't have them leave it if you live in a bad area or apartment building.

i live in an apaartment building right now and i work all day so does my boyfriend. i dont know anyone at our apartmnt complex besides the ones that work with us. (my boyfriend and i both work at the same place, same hours)
...
Could you have it sent to a friend/family at work/home? How far away is the closest cor store? Verizon will send it to any address you want except PO Boxes. That sucks that they won't accept anything for you at work.
...
the nearest store is an hour away from me. it stinks.
...
wow you must live in middle of nowhere my lord! What you need to do is leave the voyager and get a new phone voyager isnt that great đ
...
That sucks that just sucks big time. But Im sure somebody on here will find a solution since you cannot find one.
...
i even asked them if they could replace it with even a chieper one since they didnt have one and they said no. i mean i dont care! i just want a phone that works!!
...
what is your dream phone from verizon??

You need to lay off the crack. You work 24/7, no one can help, you live too far from FedEx, no one at work will sign for it.
Waaaaa!
...
i work 8-5 fed ex in our town delivers round 10 am. and their center or whatever is 45 minutes away.

The warranty replacement units or FRU's are different from a brand new phone. It's not uncommon for a store to not have any FRU's of a certain model. Especially for a newer phone. Having it shipped it your only option. Why don't you have it shipped to your work? People do that all the time.
...
my employer doesnt want things shipped there because we have a large number of employees so if they all have stuff shipped there it would be chaos.
...
Two things. First, take the battery out and put it back in...see if that turns it back on (i know it sounds stupid but it has worked in the past). Also try plugging it into the wall and charging the battery to make sure it can atleast power on when plugged in (again, stupid but that's the simplest answer). If both fail, ask the store what day they receive their shipments. Ask them to hold a Voyager FRU for you if they recieve one. If they do not receive one (which is a bit unexpected at this point), ask them to locate one at another local store and if POSSIBLE, have that store run it to them or ship it to them. It's called that lil extra step in Customer Service that makes a customer happy. Some stores will do this, some will not. Yo...

we tried removing the battery, wetried putting it on diff chargers. we've searche donline for diff things too and it just wont work. thank you so much or the advice!!! what are nps? đ
...
Ok...then ask them when the shipment is or if someone else has one that can be transferred in (it can be done). NPS is Net Promotor Score...Customer Satisfaction Survey (how likely are you to refer VZW to a friend)...
...
I'm guessing you have a indirect dealer in your town? You could explain the situtation to the store in your town and they MAY let you have the FRU sent to the store. I doubt they will since VZ will not ship them to stores and it is a liability issue for the store too (I know we will not do this but the store I used to work with would in special circumstances). Otherwise your options are to have it sent to a friend/family, drive 45 min to pick it up from FedEX, see if you can work a later shift on the day it is supposed to be in or be without a phone.
...
thank you so much! that is a good idea to see if the indirect store would do that for me!!!
i appreciate it!
...
I wouldn't hold your breath, most won't do it but you never know...
