New Every Two/Early Upgrade
Ok...after reading some "misinformation" posts by "former employees" and "people who think they know" this just has to be done.
1. An Early Upgrade can be performed after 12 months of service are completed ($49.99 or higher price plan). A new two-year contract is required, you get two-year sale price and NO New Every Two discount. You forfeit that discount for another 20 months. There is also a $20 Early Upgrade fee that is added on top.
2. The New Every Two is only available after 20 months of service completed on a price plan $34.99 or higher. From $34.99 to $79.98 you get $50 towards the cost of a new phone. From $79.99 on up, you get $100 towards the cost of the new phone. This is ONLY available after 20 months and not sooner...

good info.
They really kinda screw ya on the one year upgrade. Unless you really need/want a phone, I really dont think it's worth it.
...
I know, but they nickel and dime you for all a bunch of stuff (like activation)
And I think it changes your NE2
...
It does reset your NE2 because you just bought a phone. If the line in question is paying more than 79.99 a month, there's no "initiation fee".
...
they do not "nickel and dime" a person especially when they're letting you upgrade early - it costs the company money to do that... especially when genius customers take a 1/2 hour to figure out which phone they want or if they'll like the buttons on that particular model.
...
don't go all crazy he was just saying it pays to wait for your ne2.
...
You forgot to mention that you must sign up for "My Account" or a VIP to get the Annual Upgrade.
🙂
...
Incorrect..You do not have to be signed up for my account to do early upgrades. I do them on a daily basis at my retail store and could care less if they are signed up for My Account
...
Exactly the kind of information I was talking about by "misinformation." Thank you for giving everyone an example 😁

I work for an indirect, and we have never been told anything about the additional $20. Is this something that automatically shows up on the customer's bill or is it something that is location specific?
...
This has been around for many years. Not totally sure if Indirect's are supposed to charge this, but it is paid in store with the upgrade. Of course, it hasn't been always possible for Indirect's to perform the Early Upgrade.
