CWCANTY ET AL
For all of you complaining that trolls have been the main factor in scaring off true members, while that may be true one of the main reasons others have run off is the attitude with which you guys answer the forum posts.
I am tired of asking a question and being called "noob" or replied to with the answer like "go google it" but I expect that from boards filled with 13 yr olds.
It's sad when this board, full of supposed VZW employees answer tartly to an opinion made by someone else trying to participate on this board. While I may have a life and not spend all of it researching cell phones, I feel I do have a voice for all the casual VZW customers out there that have better things to do than debate whether the Curve or the Touch are better (or something like that)
The reason I targeted cwcanty is that while he/she/it may have valuable things to contribute, AT TIMES he/she/it can be quite rude, obnoxious, etc and makes me and others feel like we are idiots and shouldn't even bother to be on this board.
I posted a message a while back (my first, as a matter of fact) asking you guys to be nice. I have gotten nice feedback before when I've asked questions, but lately you guys are getting quite nasty. And for your information, just because a person is a first time poster, does not mean they are a TROLL. (AVGJOE is a troll, that Boost chick is a troll, etc)

Sorry to hear you are unhappy. I think all the people who have replied to you agree on the same page is that people. Newbie's for say need to learn to search before they post that is why some people even myself may come across harsh. We just get tired of people asking the same darn question over and over and over. A simple search and hey you might have found out what you wanted.

While I definitely understand and agree with the gist of your point, I want to offer a couple things:
1. cwcanty really isn't the worst offender. Far from it, at least IMO. There is one guy in particular who is easily as bad as the anti-Verizon trolls in terms of spreading the opposite of goodwill.
2. If you see a problem with someone, report their post. This is not a heavily moderated forum and the guys who run it aren't going to know that people are being jackasses unless you tell them.

I haven't been here long at all so I guess I am considered a "newbie." But I joined the site one, because I use it everyday at work (VZdub of course!), and because I would read the forums and I can answer a lot of the questions some ppl had. I'm not too sure what you consider a 'troll' but I do know that my very first post was having fun giving funny customer scenarios, which obviously does not belong here. Howeverrrr, canty giggled with me and was not bothered by it. Everyone gets frusterated sometimes. At least once a week I get a little old lady claiming her phone is broken when really it's just turned off and ya gotta show her where the power button is. Most times I wanna pull my hair out! READ THE MANUAL LADYY! Lol but its understandble...
