Verizon Wireless
I have decided to review a favorite service that I take advantage of and so should everyone else. My cellular phone service carrier is Verizon Wireless and I have been a loyal customer since 2003. Since I first hesitantly signed the contract until today I have not been disappointed, not even once. I am not saying that Verizon Wireless is perfect but they are a company designed with the customer at the top. It has met beyond all my expectations.
First of all, they have the greatest national service in America and I know this from personal experience. I travel quite often because of the varying locations of where people in my family live. Whether I am in Boston with my girlfriend visiting her parents, v...

verizon also exceeds being mostly costily service with not as much advanced device:
IE - Iphone, New blackberry bold (exclusive to at&t)
I rather choose a company where i pay less every month and get access to better devices.
I phone was listed as the number 1 invention of last year. If i had stayed with v z w..Hmm I would had same service as i have with att but I would lack ever using the at ease operation of that Iphone. and Rollover !! oh i love my rollover and nights and weekend starting at 7..
and gsm coverage ?? where I could take my phone any time overseas without going through so much hassle....

VZW has exclusive devices too ... like the touch screen Blackberry (according to RIM). I love how you mention the Bold is exclusive but not the other RIM device.
In regards to rate plans ... VZW and ATTWS have the same rates. Last time I checked, VZW has better messaging plans.
Geez, I swear Truth-Seeker ... is this all you do? Get a hobby and play some rugby or something ...
Also, in my personal experiences, I don't really care if GSM works around the world, I'd rather have a phone that works! I've had a GSM phone for a few years, and it sucked! I could never be happier with Verizon/CDMA service. I don't EVER drop calls, I get perfect reception basically EVERYWHERE I go, and it always sounds like I'm talking on a landline. Something GSM can't offer unless you're on WCDMA.

I know from personal experience, that my surcharges on my Verizon bill are much more minimal compared to my mom's surcharges on her AT&T bill. She used to have CellularOne and they were very similar to Verizon in surcharges, but AT&T is outrageous. I live in Michigan by the way.

Yeah I'll "suffer" a few dropped calls now and then. Its a very very small price to pay. Not to mention the "junk" fees are not significant at all. Especially when you add up the savings in downloads of files and unlimited data for $20......
AT&T's MediaNet Unlimited data actually dropped to $15.00 recently, Joe.
ok have fun off in montana with your cool phone from ATT and not be able to use it..
wow.

service could only get you so far; although its an important factor in choosing wireless service, it is not the only factor.

just because it doesnt have the little apple on the back doesnt mean we as a company can not offer a soultion to the iphone question.
so ur moot point would be redundant. i am sorry voyager, glyde and what ever so called imposters could never ever match iphone.
may i remind everyone, just for my own amusement,
this guy actually said service wasnt as important as his shiny apple phone.
thank you.

That is all great and fine but i live in the beautiful state of Montana and according to your glorified AT&T and T Mobile they work here... well news flash they don't!!!!! all you do is drop calls or can't even make one. So yeah to your Iphone glad you love it. but where I am from i would rather have service then a status symbol. Sorry to disappoint you but your beloved carriers don't work worth a damn here!!!! and i know what you are thinking it is just Montana do they even have indoor plumbing.... Yes we do and coverage is important to us
Well Verizon does have service where "the buffalo raom" So be it. You are stuck with them.
As for status symbol comment. Who in this world claims a ce...

Who are you trying to kid!!!! People treat their phone as a status symbol just like they do their cars. And for the "you should hang out with more successful people" comment I have very successful friends success has nothing to do with it i may not be on the same page as you are but most of our new activations in this store are for high school kids and they want the latest and greatest thing and a teeny bopper sees a phone as a status symbol not just a phone. they don't give a sh$t if they have coverage so to many people cell phones are a status symbol no matter if their friends are successful or not
Oh I can understand high schooers (and even some 20 somethings 0 have a need for approval th...

If you use mac then the iphone is the way to go. Have you ever tried to put music on a blackberry? Verizon has great phone service but the phones they have a crippled and old. It might not be verizons fault. The network is cdma. I sell verizon but if you are into phones you should use att or t mobile
Yes, I have put music on the Blackberry. The Pearl to be exact. It was incredibly easy and works perfectly well.
I have music on my blackberry it was easy as hell? Have you ever put music on a blackberry? You know most people would not describe drag and drop hard

FYI, the iPhone came to Verizon Wireless first, but did not meet all the criteria so it was not accepted. If you want a status symbol like the iPhone, go for ATT, if you want reliable phones and coverage at a decent rate, Verizon Wireless is the way to go.
Not true unless that criteria was Verizon gets to boot Apples GUI and disallows any "free" ringtone or photo transfers.......Apple and Verizon are cut from the same cloth. PROPEITARY is the name of the game. IF Apple would have allowed clobe builders they would have eclipsed PC sales back in the day. Now they are a day late and a dollar short even though they are finally on the INtel band wagon.
No way Apple and Verizon could work together ...

thats so childish !! let me ask you how often you carry two batteries. and mms ? the i phone would be upgraded which would support mms..
so ur moot point would be redundant. i am sorry voyager, glyde and what ever so called imposters could never ever match iphone.
Haven't you ever had a battery go bad, and buy another one? A battery will only be good for som many charges. And yes, I do have spare batteries. I doubt I'm alone in that.

I am so sick of at&t trolls blabbing iphone, atleaste use a phone that is fully functional as an example of a phone that does so much more. The iphone is a joke and if you carry one AND you are trolling in here you are brainwashed/a poser/ or don't understand the severe limitations of that device. Verizon does cripple a lot of their lower end phones but the iphone is more crippled then a lot of other phones on either network. I mean come on, how the hell do you not put stereo bluetooth on a high end music phone(i use this in my car). There are a million other things as well. i dont doubt it helped the industry, but it is a preceived advance, when in fact many windows devices, blackberries and pda's have offered more features for many years just never had the looks or the following. As far as Verizon goes, bluetooth features were being slowly unlocked since he original chocolate so it is not like they flipped a switch when the iphone was released, and plus the iphone bluetooth is locked, i have stereo bluetooth and can transfer my outlook calender and photos all on my verizon phone when it is blocked on iphone.

IPhone is indeed a fad. Anytime one lowers the price of a hyped new release 30% after release its becasue they are not selling. Who would do that if something is flying off the shelves? LAst time I heard Apple was a for -profit company.
The ONLY thing the iphone brought to the table was a touch screen. Its a new thing but it will wear off as people realize tactile response is far better with small "key"s Not too many full size keyboards with flat surfaces are there?
The rest is easily coverd and exceeded by other phones. Seer th Nokia N95-3. Can be bought unbranded unlocked for less than $400. It can take a 32 GB SD card/ h

... I have the Glyde right now and I'm about to return it because I was so spoiled by my iTouch.
I just got the env2 btw ... pretty sweet phone.
But yes, if the 3g iPhone came to VZW, I would jump on it.
I have ported more numbers from Verizon in the past two months because of service quality and high as hell bills than you can count on your fingers and toes(thats 20 by the way). Verizon will over charge you for everything that they can and then milk you for what you got to pay it. the data plans way more than ours i had a guy with a blackberry who had the basic Blackberry package with verizon paying $60 a month where ATT is $30. He signed up that day with us cause of that. another customer wi...

Oh, I just ordered the enV2. Hoping to have it in my hands tomorrow!
I agree that Verizon's "touchscreen" phones haven't touched the iPhone. I did agree with someone else's post on here earlier that the iPhone has changed the way the carriers and the customers view phones. The iPhone has definitely been a milestone in the industry. It has changed how we view phones, and what features we want on a phone.
