In yo face vzw - att data service is rated the higest !!

The folks over at Computerworld just ran the current 3G providers in America through their paces, only to discover that AT&T came out on top in almost every category. Well, it appears the monolithic telco plans to keep its edge (er...) on the competition -- by upping its HSPA service to a whopping 20Mbps come 2009. Our main man Ralph de la Vega said that the process wouldn't require a major overhaul to the provider's infrastructure, and that it's already in the process of punching up the 3.6Mbps speeds to 7.2Mbps "in the labs." Apparently, this won't stall plans for forthcoming 4G / 700MHz / LTE service from the company -- it'll just be icing on the cake.

Yeah since Verizon is the only Carrier where people use their phones exclusively for making calls.

Oh thats right. Thats all you CAN do with a Verizon phone. Making calls is low on the list of those who use their phones as SWiss Army knives to do everything and anything they need to outside of gabbing on a phone.

As long as Verizon cripples their phones and releases phones that have been on the street for years on other carriers their users had better have flawless call quality becasue thats all their phones are good for.

They used the Sierra Wireless' USB AirCard 595U
I don't see it on the website, but that does not mean that VZW did have it. Maybe they stop selling it due to poor performance? Who knows!

They should of used the usb 727 it is proven to be the fastest and most reliable. at&t are spin masters and truth seeker is there little tool to help spread that missinformation. And I totally call Bull sh!t on at&t getting 20mbps in 2009. Maybe in Atl there home city but there is no way it will be that fast throught out the us. They lied to me for three years about the 3g roll out in my area and guess what still no 3g. That's ok though our VZ air cards are rocket fast up here and we sell them like crack. Like I said before give it a rest truth 😛

Well, I don't know that I have ever claimed that Verizon had the fastest data network, but I would certainly say it is better than the 2.5G that ATT has rolled out to a lot of areas. As for the stuff working in the lab, well, I wouldn't worry about that quite yet. Give me a call when you have it nationwide and we'll see.

Watch the punk sh!t I'm 34 a$$hole and have been in wireless for over 5 yrs. with two stores and If you where my employee you would be out the door. You will never succeed in this industry if you don't believe in the products you are selling. Get positive or quit!

Right there you are flexin your ignorance. And in answer to your question anyone paying for home Internet service! Faster than DSL speeds but portable come on are you really that out of touch. Not everyone lives in a big city where wi-fi is rampant. Try selling the 727 usb card it is tested the fastest in our line up and is the most reliable. Just think of it, you can look at picts of your sister on twistys.com where ever you are 👀

at&t is selling there air card for the exact same price. And in this area they only have edge people are getting ripped off! Plus if you are in a store you should know that our EVDO foot print is almost twice the size of at&t's 3g. On top of that in Charlotte NC (the closest place with at&t 3g) they are never consistent with there speeds and it is always going down.

all this shows is that for these guys, in their one city, they got faster speeds with att.

this does not reflect national speed or reliability. they also used a piece of equipment for the VZW tests that is not even sold by VZW. the fastest and most reliable piece of equipment vzw sells is (reportedly) the USB 727

sweet 3 areas, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Also he mentions he had to pay $130 for this card although he fails to point out he could have picked a free one out of the 10 available, what a wonderful in depth independant review of national reliability, coverage, and speeds. 🙄
