BlackBerry Thunder?!Disclaimer: YES that is a Photoshop. :-)
Earlier this week we brought details from the BG on the rumored BlackBerry Thunder touchscreen smartphone.
After reading those rumors, it seems the Wall Street Journal has gone on to do some investigatory journalism and has confirmed some of the details earlier reported.
WSJ has confirmed the BlackBerry Thunder will launch as a Verizon and Vodafone exclusive, but unlike BG did not confirm that this would be a life-time exclusive. And while the WSJ confirms the Thunder will have a touchscreen, they did not confirm that the Thunder would be compl...

What are you talking about? Verizon turned down the Iphone last year and they can get it now due to the contract with AT&T. This phone will NEVER be on any other carrier because i guaranty you that it will sell like crazy and it will surpass the quota.
...
That's verizon fault. So many people come into the store and ask for that phone. We have lost so many people because of that phone. Verizon has nothing to compare to that phone. Who told you that verizon could get that phone. I think your not telling the truth 😳
...
You're kidding me right? Unless you were born yesterday?
...
😳 Do you work for verizon?? 😳
...
Verizon tuerned down the iphone because Apple wanted to much control over the device instead of allowing Verizon service it. I am sure it also had a lot to do with apple wanted all services going through them, like buying a ringtone you have to go through itunes
...
No i don't work for Verizon..most people who are on these forums know this.
...
We (verizon) turned down the iphone not only becuasew apple wanted to much share or control its that we like to service our phones instore for the customer's benefit. Why sell a phone if our technicians instore cant really do much but give you information on where to send it to get serviced. it was inconvenient.

Personally, I think Android is going to be the next big thing. I think it will take a year or two to really take off because of the customization and programming issues it will undoubtedly have at release, but it's going to be amazing when it's put on the right phone. I think RIM should stick with what they do best - making solid, reliable business phones that may draw the consumer crowd as well. What business is going to see an advantage in a touch screen device?

Just the "cool-ness" issue.

I don't get how some poeple don't like the touchscreen. I navigate WAY faster on the Voyager than on any phone i had before and i'm sure the Iphone is even faster.
...
For business? I don't see the advantage. It's just another liability that you have to worry about. An employee drops his/her phone and cracks the screen, and now you have to figure out what to do about it. Something like the Curve would still be functional.

Thats a good name. BlackBerry Thunder! sounds catchy 😁

I know it's being picky, but since it started, the title of this thread has been affecting me like someone scratching chalk the wrong way on a blackboard. It should have read (without the emphasis):
THEY SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE iPHONE
Sorry, I just had to get it off of my chest.
...
LOL, i'm glad you said it because it was bothering me too 🤣

No way two of the largest arrogant controlling companies cannot work together, THATS why Verizon did not get the iPhone. Don't ever forget it.

WOW! I didn't know they let you in when Apple and VZW were talking about carrying the iPhone. That's pretty cool that they thought so much of you since no one here likes you. I guess that would explain why you seem to "know" everything about VZW and why they do the things they do.
Truth is none of us really know why VZW decided to pass on the iPhone because we were not there, all we can do is speculate, no one know the real reason. Don't ever forget that.
You and BB2709 are troll's and probably always will be. Why is it so important for you to come on here and talk about how horrible VZW is and why you will never have them. You don't like VZW and will never use VZW, that's fine, your choice. The rest of us here do like VZW and choose t...

Allow me to paraphrase for you since you're too lazy to read the whole thing:
Why do you insist on complaining about Verizon in the Verizon forum? You don't like Verizon. Great. Nobody cares. Move on, and stop spamming this otherwise useful piece of the internet.
...
Thanks, he's just a tool. It's funny how he was on here every day saying how bad it was that VZW was JUST getting the Curve and now that the Thunder was announced for VZW the only thing he has said about that is no one would want it. God forbid VZW get a BB before AT&T, it must just be a piece of crap why else would RIM go to VZW first, right? 🙄
...
Hmmmm, did you read the post? Only the last few sentences were "defense" and all that said was my personal experience with VZW and why I choose them.
So you think you can go after my grammar? Yes I could have broke that up more but do you even read you posts before posting? You have wrong words and misspelled words constantly, you know PS has spell check right? Could you start using it? Thanks.

LOL Im in the right place as There are no well thought out decisions made by those who choose Verizon. Just compromises and hype.
...
Your right, how dare someone actually choose something based on what is best for them and meets there wants and needs.
...
yep, you're right, no room for debate there (huge eye roll)...if the verizon is so lame, then why do you post here? Go ruin their forum.
