We added 1.7 mil, So now what!
Are we surprised, but it was really do to all the bogo specials we had over the holidays. 🙄

1.7 mil customer adds is very nice... but what's really going to make the competition envious is the profits ($3.0 billion for the quarter) and the record-low churn rate (1.43 percent for the quarter; drops to 1.2 percent for post-pay only).
The stock's up on the news too 🙂

But I'm kinda torn... if VZW does too well, they're gonna get very complacent/arrogant and start jacking up my phone bill (as most any company would). So my strategy is 'use Verizon, but root for everybody'. 😉
Which is a lot easier to do with Cain exiled to St. Elba. He was such a Cingy fanatic that you almost had to go against him, just for your own sanity. 🤣

Well, it should. Cingy had a great qtr customer adds-wise (though not profit-wise, and their churn is still 'bout double Verizon's), but that's new for them. For VZW, quarters like this are kinda par for the course.

Verizon does everything they can to undermine the indirect channel, and eventually that WILL come back to haunt them. I'm so sick of them that it actually pisses me off that they have a good product. Actually, in my market they are hurting pretty badly it seems, and I actually think it is BECAUSE they have no direct sales channel representation and they make it so hard for we indirects to make a profit selling them competitively. As far as GETTING complacent... I think they are already there.
If SBC gobbles up AT&T this might prompt Verizon to take on Sprint to be equal in assets (or closely equal).
