Are you saying that the Audiovox 6600 has a full Bluetooth stack, including the profile of OBEX?
I did learn my lesson so I am doing the research all over again. Verizon keeps sending me email that says a fix is coming this QTR for the V710, but I need something else in the meantime.

Yet, the Audiovox 6600 would only partially, and not reliably, work (via bluetooth) with our 2004 Acura TL. Nor would it sync via bluetooth with my Apple PowerBook G4.

That is why the Verizon Audiovox 6600 is not Bluetooth Qualified, like the Verizon V710 is not. None of the Verizon phones meet the Standard.

For the record I did buy the Motorola V710 and returned it a couple of days as I didn't care for the size or some of the setting options (key pad lights shut off after of couple of seconds which is a pain when using the phone in dark settings, etc).

I doubt you will see laws restricting cell phone use in NC, Verizon and all the other carriers will spread enough money around Raleigh to make sure this won't happen.
